J-hope's passion in this performance will always give me chills

This is one of their most heartbreaking songs ever and I still genuinely get a bit heartbroken every time I see this performance. It reminds me of the time when they were just so broken and worn out that they were THISCLOSE to giving up on one another and call quits on their whole career until they managed to pull through again - for one another. I don't there will ever be artists who can help me access the most vulnerable moments of life and find courage in them. That's Bangtan Sonyeondan. That's MY BTS.

At first glance, this seems like a song about a romantic breakup, but it's actually about the time when BTS almost disbanded because they were going through a hard time. One of my fav songs.

This is my favourite rap for Hobi, he kills me dead each time.

Check out their speech at the 2018 MAMA when Jin told the world that they were thinking about disbanding. It was heart wrenching to see them in tears during their speech and ARMY are so glad that they are OT7 till this day.

I think RM and SUGA are always amazing but JHope gives me chills in this performance. Love this so much

All three of the boys are wearing black Dior outfits this is a classic live performance at Wembley stadium and 2019! The story behind the lyrics 2018 BTS were talking about disbanding they had just had a lot of stress that year because they were getting more well-known in the western part of the world that they were more in demand to perform and to show up at interviews! So yes this was very stressful time and as SUGA wanted to express it as he always does with his genius producing and his insightful lyrics! When it was all finished all seven members got together and the lyrics were red and the emotions started to flood in they cried they knew that this was going to be an important song because it did almost happen BTS was going to be no more but this song tapped into the emotion of that moment and it got us through to the next level not just BTS but ARMY! The interpretation of TEAR: RM ‘s meaning behind his rap was a literal tear to cry to express the emotion. Suga ‘s meaning TEAR to tear or to rip away as in breaking apart or tearing apart our relationship as in the seven members, J-Hope ‘s meaning FEAR, to become afraid of the outcome that the relationship is over and unable not to come to terms because the fear is so strong that the relationship is hanging by a thread! To me any other western type of rap song that is out there, In my opinion cannot equal to this I may be biased because I am a fan I am army but this is the example of BTS’s incredible lyrics ,emotional word play and thought process behind every single song they create! The rap line has an emotional side you’re never gonna hear a song like this in United States! Why? Because BTS is on a whole different level and they are playing on the field where other artist cannot understand or even try to begin to process! This song is in my top five and it will continue to be at my top five, I don’t know what the comeback album is gonna be all I know is there’s going to be an anthology of their older tracks from their albums and music discography, all I know is there is going to be three new tracks added to the new comeback album! BTS are legends!👍💜

Jhope’s passion in this performance was just insane

Again this song brought me a lot of tears....I always got emotional knowing the story behind this song 😢😢😢😭😭😭

My favourite song by the rap line and this performance makes me cry, it's so passionate and clearly means so much to them ❤️

Its surprising how many people miss the intensity of the instruments in the background that drive this track, the sheer emotion they portray is astounding and gives me chills hearing the first 3 notes.

This is my favourite rap line song. And my favourite J-Hope performance. And in my top ten BTS songs! So good.

RM uses 'tear' as in crying tears, suga uses 'tear’ as in being torn apart, and then j-hope uses 'fear' as in losing each other. great reaction💜💜

This song means a lot to us ARMY. They were thinking of disbandment. Suga wrote this song and all members cried together. TEAR can mean tear as teardrop, tearaway as torn apart between decisions or people.

I'm OT7 but the rapline is always wrecking me. Suga, RM, Jhope together a lethal combo.

This is where you can see how each of them cope. I'm always so fond of J-hope's lyrics as he just absorbs everything and gives himself... he never really asked for anything. I admire him so much for being so reliable and selfless. He's the most precious human being you'll know. He don't want to get left behind so he worked to gained many skills and became one of the musical foundation of BTS, his work ethic is truly inhumane while being the humblest person pushing his members forward and clearing their imperfections. He's the greatest support anyone would kill to have. Suga's been through to hell and back... but he has the greatest passion and tenacity out of everyone. So raw and ruthless but gentle and caring. He claimed his passion with his own hands, he never stopped grinding even though the circumstances he faced were against him. He has so much love for music, though cliché, he'd die without it. And the members he loved so dearly, he felt grateful that there's seven of them. And to have that taken away is like tearing his other half apart. It's so brutal sounding and depressing. He's the definition of honesty. He's the strongest person I've ever known. RM has always been the frontline, the leader. He doesn't look back at the members first when a blame falls onto them, he carries everything and anything in his shoulders since the very beginning- he's always looking at himself along with the regrets. His lyrics justifies the pain of disbanding by saying he deserved it because he wasn't grateful enough, he wasn't happy all the time with his work, he pondered on the criticism and let it fill his mind, the self loathing while trying to keep it all together. He kept reflecting and cleaning up the mistakes to be better. He's the foundation of the members. Such a selfish beautiful soul, never sharing his burdens, once you hear about it he's already sorting it out on his own. He's the strongest tank in all of humanity, specially with how big BTS has become. They poured their hearts and soul into this song... it will always be one of my favourite songs of all time. Such a powerful song - you can hear all the emotions in their verses. It was such a difficult time for them, but I’m so grateful they decided stayed together. I really can’t imagine my life without them.

There's classical music in outro tear and the rap does provide contrast while the beats are really solid and drives the song forward

Have u heard BTS new album is going to be an anthology album with their previous albums best songs New remixes unreleased demos n 3 new track. It is said to be celebrating BTS 10th anniversary n how far they have come but rumors also say that the major part is becoz BTS enlistment is still not confirmed So if they start new era of release 20 new songs n if one member or everyone goes to military then will not able to promote or perform those new songs in tours etc properly so this was the decision taken

Hi guys, as always I love your reactions! This one was my fav rap song for a lot when the album came out, we know it had a deep meaning, but we actually didn't know it was about them. We found out in a documentary series they realised some time later and it was heartbreaking. Now it's still one of my faves but omg thinking how they felt at that time... yeah it hurts :')

Definitely started saving a lot of money for the world tour announcement. I paid $1300 for Stray Kids tickets because it sold out super quick with bots😭but I can’t miss them so I think BTS is gonna be super expensive!
