They have several fan songs like these (others include 2!3!, and We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal) to give hope and comfort to their fans. Some of those lines like “you found me, you recognised me” and “you gave me the best of me so you’ll give you the best of you” hit so much harder (at least to me) when you view it through the lens of a fan-artist relationship. The whole idea is, like you said, when we are having a bad day we can turn to BTS and go inside the “magic shop” and their music will comfort us. Also, apparently Magic Shop is a real existing psychodramatic technique that works by exchanging fears and dark thoughts for a positive attitude - which I hadn’t know before but is really cool that that inspired this song as well. There is true love in the lyrics they chose. BTS adores their ARMY and gives more than any artist I have seen, fully being BTS all the time. We get tv shows and outtakes, to messages on social media reminding us to simply stay warm. BTS has not been treated fairly by the media in the US, and the Army is upset at this ( I am in the US and its sick how much they downplay what is BTS). I would love to see more reactions including "Butter" that just dropped last night. Who gives fans a daily hype bit for almost a month for 1 song? BTS. And they kept us hooked with lyrics that remind us we are important and we are loved. BTS also knows the ARMY has their back 24/7 and thats all that matters to these guys. I hope that never changes. For me, the magic shop is BTS & the BTS ARMY. It's a place where I go to get away from the Real World and have fun. To listen to their music. To dissect their songs. To smile. To see how smart, clever & intelligent ARMY are. To have fun with other ARMY's, to have fun with BTS during a V live, Run Episode. In The Soop or Bon Voyage. Or talking to other fans: laughing, joking, making memes, Voting, streaming, raising money for charity. It's just supporting BTS & ARMY. The MAGIC SHOP is MY feel good place.

Others have said this, but out of BTS's 300+ songs, almost none of them are about romantic love. Of course they can be interpreted that way, because art is meant to be interpreted by the viewer/listener and everyone relate to songs individually. So you've definitely been getting the sentiments, but the overall meaning of this song as BTS explains it themselves is a little different. When it comes to BTS, they do a lot of introspection, they write/sing a lot about their relationship with themselves, with fame, with their music/career, and they also write a lot about and to ARMY (their fans). In this case, Magic Shop is a song for ARMY, about how hard BTS and ARMY have had to work and all the hate they've endured since 2013. It's a song for the fans about how BTS & ARMY are a team and will always be there for each other against all odds.

Honestly, this song always brings me to tears. I was lucky enough to see them live in 2018 and I was bawling when they sang this song lol. Some of their songs will use concepts or references to things that people won't understand unless they watch their videos -- or in this case, it's possible people knew about the concept of magic shop beforehand. If not, BTS had a teaser video that briefly showed the description of what it means.

I think you don't get BTS' lyrics... they almost never talk about "love for girls/boys" in a romantic way. Yes, they have songs about love, but the meaning is way deeper than you think.

This is such a wholesome reaction PLEASE my lame sensitive butt teared up lmaooooooo honestly people could ask me why I'm a fan of BTS and I'd just show them this performance. They're real life chargers to our batteries and whenever you're low they make sure to bring you right back up.
