BTS Newbie reacts to more BTS guides: "THIS IS BTS" and "THIS IS BTS ARMY" 

Thought i would say hi, im 59 and UK army and discovered BTS at the start of the pandemic and I can't express enough how much I admire and respect them. Army has no age limit, theres even a 90 year old lady and i saw two Italian nuns who are army. I have occasionally been sent messages saying im to old to love BTS but i think that say more about them than me. Its no fun getting older amd if BTS makes me happy then why not. Theres a misconception that army are all teenag girls, infact older army have a greater grasp of some of their very deep lyrics thay younger army dont because they haven't lived a long life and gone through what some of us have. The world can seem like a very mean place and it can be isolating at times. Theser 7 precious men are my light and i will alwas be ARMY. I hope you enjoy your trip down the BTS rabbit hole. Please dont let fans of other groups persuade you that if you love BTS then you will love ... BTS have discography back to 2013, many videos, run bts shows, in the soop, bon voyage.

I'm 40 years old become army for 10 years I'm from thailand South East Asia. my mother 65 , my father 70 , my big brother 43 and little brother 35 become army for 7years. BTS FAMILY.

Even though I’ve not had the pleasure of going to one of their concerts I’ve still been able to watch them when available at the cinema or online and I have to say they truly come alive on stage and their passion and energy is unmatched, you can always tell when an artist really wants to be there and wants to perform. I hope I’ll get to see them live one day but I have disabilities that limit my day to day life, but I’m just happy and grateful that I can listen to their music.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

At 64, I am so proud to be BTS ARMY...even though my adult kids and husband do NOT seem to understand! But there is something profoundly healing about BTS. Not just their music, but their personalities. Face it. BTS are magic. Once in a generation artists who are so far beyond the concept of "genre" that it is impossible to make anyone understand unless they listen and get to know the group.

I'm really happy that you picked up on the free tutoring because I'm actually one of the volunteer tutors! :D And you're right, the different languages are really useful! My native language is German for example and a couple years back we had this program over summer break (called ARMY Talk) where intermediate and advanced language learners could join a course to improve their skills of that language with (mostly) native speakers ^^ The project offered 9 different languages and I taught the German courses ^^ It was a lot of fun!

Thank you for the reaction! Xceleste is really great. Her hardships video is very informative but can also be tough to watch, just a warning. It's honestly shocking to see the kind of hate and toxicity that was aimed at BTS over the years. I saw another commentor mentioned the boracity youtube channel, and I seccond that. boracity has some really good video essays about various topics about BTS and the music industry. They're all really good so I'd say react to whichever of her videos piques your interest! The Rise of Bangtan is also an amazing docuseries here on youtube that was created by fans (namely Aneesa) and it goes through the history of BTS from pre-debut up until almost contemporary times. It also explains a lot of things about the kpop industry and Korean culture along the way as well. It's honestly professional quality and deserves go be on Netflix or something! There are also deleted scenes and bonus content for almost every episode that show more clips that Andesa couldnt fit in the episode or that didn't match the theme of fhe episode but which come from thr same time period as the episode.

I’m really enjoying watching discover our amazing young men! I’ve been Army since 2017 ! I’m currently 59 and I’ve managed to go to their last two concerts Permission to Dance in Los Angeles and Las Vegas then to Chicago in April to Suga’s August D Solo concert! And being in crowds that large all being of the same mind and feelings towards BTS is phenomenal! I met people from all over the world that made the trip to the US just to see BTS ! Army is really an amazing fan Base! I will also recommend The Most Beautiful Moment in life goes on By Rice Squad! There’s a lot that the other two doesn’t touch on!

A lot of helpful information here about BTS. I became a fan in late 2020 having seen snippets about Jimin on instagram, while stuck at home alone due to covid. I found him fascinating and eventually discovered the whole group and of course the music. I have never looked back. I am a 71 year old English woman. I have told my kids that I follow BTS, and tried to encourage them to join me, but no luck in that so far.

Thank u for the grt reaction 😊 I would suggest a bts discography guide made by boracity magazine ( along with the hardships video by xceleste). It gives an idea regarding all the work they did until recently when they started doing solo work cuz of the mandatory military enlistment.

Hi I'm a UK ARMY and a tender 70 years old. Why do I like them? Well, they're the whole package. A bunch of talented, good looking guys with great personalities. They are so supportive of each other and with so little ego to get in the way and cause rifts. Their huge discography is so diverse having songs from so many different genres. They really love ARMY and write songs which include us even having a dig at us (Pied Piper). There are songs to give us strength and heal us. There are a few other K-Pop groups I follow but I only like a few of their songs not the whole lot as I do with BTS'. I am so sorry that I only came to know them in 2020 so have never seen them in person although I have watched them live online quite a few times now and it is a lots of fun contributing to the chat before the concert starts and feeling like I am up close to them because of the way the cameras get up so close. They really know how to work the cameras and get us all hyped up. I was rewatching Yoongi's last performance of his D-Day concert at 3am last Sunday and jumping up and down when he called for us to do so. Just as well I live on my own and I wore headphones so I didn't annoy the neighbours. X-Celeste was in Korea recently and did a video with the delightful Eric Nam a singer and very good interviewer on the Dive channel. BTW less said about the Grammys the better. Most of their songs are basically in Korean mixed with English phrases. They have Japanese versions of some songs and Japanese only songs and Japanese albums. Japan is a big market for them. All the members speak reasonable Japanese I understand while RM is the only one fluent in English but JK and J-Hope are getting better. All of them have improved their English meanwhile my Korean is still restricted to a few phrases. Yoongi even corrected his interpreter at his recent concert. Welcome to ARMY.

Can't compare K-Pop groups with American boybands, coz their on another level. As you go along discovering more of K-Pop, you'll see why.

The statistics showing here is old. Newer, more updated statistics show teens about 13% and the numbers of 50+ and older fans and male fans grew a lot more since these videos were made, These videos were made much earlier than the Taylor's video. They've topped on Billboard Hot 100 several more times and won the Best Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards and nominated at the Grammy Awards several times since these videos.

I appreciate your reaction, however may I suggest that you comment exclusively and individually on the content producer you are reacting to, not bringing another creator into the picture... this lady has been creating content for years and doing her research very thoroughly. Just saying. But thanks again..

I think it's a bit of a shame that she just repeated most of the last video. I think she could have talked less about BTS's achievements, because there's just so much more to tell about Army than she did in the Army video. Army did so much more. Gifts for Radio station wasn't mentioned, white paper project, Twitter fights, how we cancel bad people/defent BTS, Birthday projects for BTS, us on concerts, Army mostly are not Kpop fans and this ⁷.

The 2mil towards blm did nothing😂😂😂
