Save me is very sad because its referring to being in a time where you feel like you're worth nothing and its desperately crying out for someone else's love to save them and make them matter. It's musically and lyrically connected to I'm Fine. They reversed the music and make it more upbeat to fit the meaning of saving yourself through self love. It's uplifting yourself basically even when times are rough to just hold on. I find that if you're used to western music, you become very accustomed to thinking its about a romantic relationship when someone is using love in a song or talking about emotional pain. Well said. When some people are new to BTS and listen to their music, I often hear reactions like "which girl broke your heart?" or "which girl are you talking about?" But the lyrics are deeper than that and involves more introspection.
@@aznsweety yea, I don't blame them. You get preprogrammed from being assimilated into the western music scene. And lyric translations a lot gets lost because they use Korean idioms, word play and some poetic analogies. I usually find out if translators have notes done and I'm learning Korean.

I feel like BTS lyrics never addresses any person or situation in particular, they are gender fluid and could be for ARMY, lover, friend etc. You like it for you own moods and life.
They are times where they are like "I need you girl" but with how their songs are, they don't feel gender fluid. It could explain a part of why they're very popular.

The lyrics in Save Me have a lot of throwbacks to older (and later, future!) songs. The line "ironed out the wrinkles in me" is actually a Korean expression meaning to mature. It's why they ironed Jin in Fire! Because he was the oldest one and supposedly most mature. The younger ones are trying to figure out how to "iron" and be more mature, but the whole point of Fire is to let go and not worry so much^^

It was cold and rainy. They did comment that despite the overcast sky, they thought it made for a better video. It added to depicting a mood. Glad you noticed the camera man also had to work hard. He had some choreography of his own so that he could properly film the correct angles and views. As hard as the boys work, they do appreciate the work the staff and crew put in. In one video clip, J-Hope was commenting that the staff worked so hard. He himself was on the shooting site early but he also knew the crew had been there hours before him, getting things in order. Of course, the crew will also be there hours later. I like that they are appreciative of their staff.
Bangtan Subs is the Chanel you’ll want to use when you watch things like Behind The Scenes of videos or just random bts clips, they have subtitles so that you’re not left to just guess what they’re talking about 😂
I believe the producer was pdogg, he is one of the main producers at bighit/for bts and the song was written by him, RM, jhope & suga possibly along with some other people too :)

Any time you're about to watch a vid just search the exact same title of the vid but with "ENG SUBS" written at the end and 9/10 results will show a video with subtitles...

I feel like Taehyung grew into his voice. Now, when you see him older and a little buffer it's easier to think that such a deep voice comes from Tae, but when you see old videos from when they first started and you hear a super deep voice come from a baby face it's ridiculously shocking lol.
They did it many times even after practice if they aren't satisfied with the result even with just small details. Yes, BTS is the real deal in every aspect. Their work ethics are unbelievable and their love for music is just undeniable. A group that creates songs and lyrics that gives and makes a person see the light at the end of every tunnel, who are very active in producing, writing and more for their music, and a group who has one dream and will keep on achieving those dreams together every single damn time, COMES ONLY ONCE IN A BLUEMOON. I cherish and love these boys so much for many reasons just like every ARMY who loves the boys unconditionally. As RM said, let's keep dreaming the best dreams together. They are here for a reason and we are so ready for them.

Rule of thumb with BTS, it’s not a love song. Their lyrics, especially when consumed in Korean, make it clear that the lyrics can be applied to all types of relationships, with a lot of them focusing on themselves and Army as the subject.
They've made a lot of love songs. And often their songs for Army can be both for Army and a relationship. I feel like this song was about a relationship but they just said it was for Army tbh. Their first 'fan' song was 2! 3! they said so themselves
I really love this particular song because even without having all of the extra bits (props, effects, etc) it's still such a beautiful, raw and emotional song. For me it just goes to prove that the boys don't need all of that for them to be the incredible performers that they are. You also need to check out I'm Fine - again their Jimmy Fallon stage is one of my favorites but the lyrics are just as important and you should probably check those out first.
Now you understand the frustration of I-ARMY! Sometimes you only wait a few minutes for a translated video, other times no one translates it at all and you're left wondering what they said. I wanted you guys to see this one to see how hard these guy work, and how they interact with each other even in crappy conditions, and you did exactly that. So thank you for doing this video.

During the "Love Yourself" era, they have this track titled "I'm Fine" but if you search for the ambigram I'm Fine you'll read the word Save Me if turn it upside down..how cool is that!? It's sending the message "You see that I'm fine but if look at me in adifferent way I'm not okay and I'm needing someone to save me from misery." I mean, who doesnt relate to that?! if the vid you find has no subs (bangtantv vids never have subtitles) just type in the video title + eng sub into youtube and 99% of the time you'll find it subbed, translator armys work so hard you can find pretty much every video with subs if you search for it :)

I've heard before that they singing to youth and not a girl. I don't know if it's the case or not, but I like imagining that it's the former, because it makes the lyrics even more desperate. It's like they want to stay in the comforting embrace of innocence forever, like I think we've all felt like doing at one point or another

I'm Fine totally reversed from Save Me like their poster. Lyrics and melody, Namjoon totally reversed it. I agreed when you said Tae got deep voice. If you look back at the old songs, most of it used Tae growl/snare deep voice(because he want to be rap in rap line). In the past people keep saying Tae only know growl with his deep voice and not singing. That's why now we listen more singing deep voice from Tae. He want to change people words.😊
JHope takes his position as dance leader seriously and checks on BTS' choreo before EVERY shoot and every perf. He makes sure everyone remembers their parts and correct any mistakes. He can be seen doing the same here.
I would definitely recommend 'I'm Fine' along with 'Save Me', but I'd suggest making it a two-clip video of the lyrics and one of live performance since it doesn't have an MV.
The guys have never named a person or relationship when taking about their songs - they’re kind of “generic” in that they’re feelings and experiences that are globally relatable, which is why we connect to them so much. Also, anytime you see a Bangtan Bomb or BANGTAN Episode, chances are really high that you’ll find the translated episode on Bangtan Subs. Fun fact: Quick Style choreographed most of this number. It’s one of faves. 💜

If y'all haven't watched I'm Fine yet, I find that while the performances that feature part of Save Me highlight the continuation, their Jimmy Fallon performance was the best. Just my opinion.
