BTS REACTION - 'Fix You' Coldplay Cover

They said they chose this song because it brought them comfort during quarantine and they hoped it could bring comfort to ARMY as well.

Cold Play have praised them on all social media outlets , this song is on a few of the members play list that’s why they picked this song 💜💜

Jin's vocals are soo Good

BTS are fans of Coldplay and have been to their concert. Jin, one of the members, has had Fix You in his playlist for a while. And in the discussion in the Unplugged performance, they explained that this song comforted them during the pandemic, so the intent was to bring comfort to their fans, too. And as people have mentioned, Coldplay shared this across their social media platforms and called it “beautiful” (they even wrote it in Korean).

ColdPlay doesn't allow many people to cover their songs. As soon as the performance was over, they put out praise on ALL their social media platforms.

They kept it pure and classy, just like the artists they are.

BTS members themselves have spoken about their love for Coldplay and this song in the past. And I feel the message of this song falls very much in line with the messages BTS has in their music. I've actually heard this song playing in the background few years ago during a vlog of the boys, so the love for this song is genuine.

Rolling Stone, Esquire and most importantly Coldplay have paid tribute to this performance. I'm almost positive that MTV Unplugged encourage at least one cover of a song as well as their own material. Fix You is a song that BTS hold dear.

Coldplay does not usually let people cover their songs, but I think the decision was perfect. BTS have loved Coldplay for many years and have said how this song helped them through quarantine. Not long after BTS performed this, Coldplay praised them on social media platforms. It was a hauntingly beautiful rendition of a very touching song.

‘The Cold Play’s ‘Fix You’ is on Jin & Jimin’s personal music play lists & other members has mentioned in the past as well. Jimin said during these difficult times, he was comforted by listening to this beautiful song & they all hope & wants their beloved fans, Army & people could find some comfort & soles while listening to this beautiful song. And yes, I also like Jimin’s tone of voice! He has carried that comforting & warm feeling so beautifully which is essence of this song & their whole performance touches my heart & heal my soul!

I have always love Joonie's singing voice since I heard his Umbrella cover with Yuiko, low and raspy. same with V.

Just some things I wanna say: @4.26--the one you pointed out you'e liking his voice--that's Jimin, lead vocalist and main dancer of the group. His unique tone really draws you into the song. Also, the rappers' (RM, Suga and Jhope) gentle, low voices throughout is the perfect balance to the highs of the track. The way Jungkook starts the song and the emotion-filled high note of Jin makes me tear up. Then, V brought the tone back down into a quiet, soft and wonderfully gentle end is the icing on the cake. Thank you for appreciating their music, their voices and their efforts.

Jin's angelic yet powerful is sending me to my grave 💜

i’m so new to the bts army but i fell in love with Vs voice a lot ! the way he nailed the reverse part at the start after jk and also sang low by ending the song gave me goosebumps. like i’ve heard this song so much during my college days and that guy sounded very similar to chris 😭

jimin voice is unique. In this cover his voice did give me a feeling. that I can't describe it in words. His emotions reach me through his voice and translate in tears in my eyes. it was a magical moment for me. And now I need to be fixed this cover can't get of my head

they already have mass following from UK they performed at WEMBLY during their last concert .... sold out two nights !! this song gave them comfort during quarantine and thought it will comfort us Armys too that's why they choose this particular song apart from their songs to perform on MTV unplugged and they always been a Coldplay fans themselves ... and Coldplay also never let any1 cover their songs said " it's very personal to them so not sure others could justice the emotions of their songs " ... so so honored that Coldplay let our boys perform their song and was sure they will do justice to the emotions of the song ..... appreciate them being such good musicains and artists that they accepted our boys as musicians and artists beyond every other barriers ... hope other good artists and music lovers also could see BTS like that !!

I love how the rap line dueted with the vocal line as opposed to having a segment each. The rap line sang an octave lower than the vocal line and provided that bassy rich blended sound that was just gorgeous. Cold Play don't often release their songs to other artists so it was quite the achievement for BTS to receive permission to sing it. Cold Play thought this rendition was beautiful.

they said this song helped them through many hard times especially last year but also in previous years theres a post on twitter from 2018 and you can hear it in the background. in 2018 they were thinking of breaking up but then thankfully decided to continue their journey as a group i think that song means a lot to them as well since multiple members have it on their playlists too. ive also heard coldplay doesnt let just anyone cover their songs especially not fix you because of how special it is. the mutual respect between the bands makes my heart happy :) anyways please react to bts dope music video :)

Exactly! Coldplay loved this cover of their song. I respect and love the original but BTS make their cover songs their own. BTS’ music gives comfort, encouragement, support, love and heals people that’s why it’s not a surprise for us that they picked Fix You to cover for this special performance. Hello... thank you so much for reacting to this cover. I am a big fan of BTS, listen to this cover, then listened to Coldplay, because I have never heard this song before. I grew up listening to country and Gospel I did not particularly like the Music from 70s up. The words in the song are beautiful I believe, Coldplay even tweet it out and put in Korean language beautiful.

BTS have their very own "Fix You" kinda, it's called "Spring Day" and it's the comfort song of all Armys, it has never left the charts since its release 4 YEARS ago. There is a heavy story behind it.

You guys asking why BTS chose 'Fix You' Coldplay; I don't know Coldplay before. Maybe MTV Unplug asked/gave them songs to choose and BTS loved this song - cz there's meaning behind this song.. (I also know by many people tell) that Coldplay do not share their song to anyone but then when MTV & BTS ask permission Coldplay agreed because they saw & know who BTS is. On tweeter Coldplay love & praises BTS! :))
