The BTS members are such hard workers. They DESERVED to be treated with respect same with all the other guests. She should NOT have asked them during the second visit OR even ever. It’s a disgustingly rude question to ask and she should be doing research or at least know boundaries to RESPECT these guests. I also found it really heartwarming when they pointed at army when they didn’t understand thinking it meant if they ever loved anyone. It shows they really care for their fans and don’t just consider them people they make money from. Edit: I’m actually really happy RM stood up for what was right in the place of the other members. It really shows how connected they are and how much they care about each other.

When sakshma Srivastav interviewed BTS i feel so happy because she didn't asked questions like that the Ellen did .Her interview is the best interview ever rm didn't faked smile and she focused on all the members and asked questions to all the members and praised every one .she literally rocked out of all the American interviewers tho. This is exactly right. When I, as a Korean, first heard Ellen ask BTS about hooking up with their fans, I was literally in shock. That was SO rude to ask them such a nasty question. No wonder what Ellen’s personal life would be like.

Just thought that most ppl would know that Asian culture is not that open to topics related to sexuality than western culture, and so did Ellen. But apparently not. She could have at least done better than that and should’ve been more respectful to guests from different cultures. As you know, Ellen engaged in sexual misconduct, racism, etc. and that’s why BTS unfollowed her, I guess. She was a competent host in a way, but she’s got to learn some lessons and grow inside through this time. (Thanks for sharing your thoughts, though.)

I can understand if people outside of the west find it offensive/rude due of culture differences. Btw, "Hook Up" could mean either dating another person or having intimate relationship with another person. Direct translate a language to another will often lead to mistranslation.

Ellen does make people uncomfortable while interviewing, but you really don’t know what actually happened. BTS are really humble and they didn’t revealed anything or talked about never goin to her either. I don’t really like Ellen but just assuming what might have happened is just wrong. You're absolutely right People have a private life even with a life of celebrity, you have to know how to respect both things. Ellen does funny interviews with a thousand smiles but sometimes she only makes people who had come just to have a "chat" uncomfortable. This video is so dramatic, I think BTS should know what they are getting themselves into, the question wasn’t even as insensitive as she’s making it look, everyone was laughing and just enjoying being on the show. If they were SoOo uncomfortable why did they go in a second time? They liked being guest on her show and it sucks that because of army being so sensitive we no longer get to see them in her show but tbh who give a rats ass anymore it’s her last year and thanks to army I will no longer see them on the show that made me want to stan them in the first place.

So yes, it is unlikely that they’ll ever go back but they never made an official statement about it. We can’t just assume things and tell everyone our opinions are facts as if BTS said it themselves when they didn’t. Grow up.

Based on the Kpop industry, the artists are told what to do/say and what shows to be on by their agency. If they have to go to Ellen show even if they are uncomfortable, they still have to. Usually when someone has a bad rep, they are cancelled in korea and no one wants to associate themselves with that person. Ellen has a bad rep now and the company probably dont to associate the boys with her show anymore

I don't agree with Ellen's behaviour, however your whole video is about "assumptions" you even say so in your narration. When exactly did "BTS revealed why they wont go back to Ellen", as you so bluntly put it in you clicbate tittle? you have nothing to back that statement up. You are putting words in their mouths. They have NEVER said anything about this issue and they would never, because they have respect for themselves and others. It is sad seeing "fans" using the boys and alarming tittles just to get views. You would do better with real information. Also, you do realize the capture you used of Jason Derulo saying BTS unfollowed him, is a fan account, right? (Yes BTS unfollowed him, but his actual account, not that fake one). It is perfectly fine to give your opinion and interpretations, but when you go as far as stating something as a fact, as if they actually said it, then it is obvious you don't have the boys best interest in mind but your own interest and agenda. That is not what being ARMY is about.

Protect these young men!! We LOVE BTS! ♡ As an American, even I was shocked and embarrassed by Ellen Degeneres' rudeness and lack of cultural sensitivity for BTS. They are internationally acclaimed stars. How do you interface with people of other cultures as an interviewer without cultural awareness and sensitivity? I am so glad they translated and reacted with appropriate horror at Ellen's question. She was trying to set them them up for her own selfish ratings and views without regard to their reputation. It’s good that we now know Ellen’s true self! I used to Love her shows . We watch her shows all the time and thought how generous she was giving away moneys to help others. And after finding out her true identity it’s a shame and heart breaking. Well hopefully she can wake up be kind to people for real .!! Shame on her to do that to BTS . I am an indian army and my personal opinion is that whenever a foreign interviewer wants to interview bts they must do a little bit research on kpop and bts . The way sakshma interviewed bts was very impressive . She didn't ask any uncomfortable questions but she asked very intellectual questions based on their hardwork, hardships in life , their career etc . In kpop dating has to be really private . BTS are soo busy on their comebacks . I feel that they don't get enough time to sleep . Jin also mentioned in his previous vlive on August 9 2021 that he sleeps like at 1 or 2 and the others like 3 or 5 . Jhope and jk did a vlive like at 12 30 am KST. If we see this they don't even have have time to sleep how can they have time to date? Armies don't bother if they date because they r 23 -28 year old boys so there is nothing wrong in doing it . Please stop asking bts such kind of questions

About the dating question, of course they understood it immediately but what surprises me is that for any interview (at least with idols), the questions are validated way before the shooting and their answers are prepared beforehand so the question is: was this question not on the list and Ellen actually trapped them (which wouldn't surprise me...) ? 🤔

I really appreciate how jimmy fallon knows how to respect others culture whereas ellen on the other hand is really insensitive. I was really shocked when ellen asked them abt hookups. She's a celebrity too and she knows the consequences but still she acted like that on a live tv show. I personally feel that they did the right thing by cutting ties with Ellen (james is out of the list 🙂)

I remember when Ellen invited Marie Kondo and she was so unsettling towards her. Marie Kondo is a small adorable sweet woman, who doesn’t know English well and she was disrespectful towards her. I haven’t watched their interview, mainly because I am not familiar with K-Pop. But if it is Ellen, these guys did the right thing choosing to be respected!

Forget it just being uncomfortable for Koreans, I’m from Aotearoa-New Zealand and I was offended by her focus on hooking up with fans. It showed me she didn’t know them at all, to coin it in Suga’s words, “Do you know BTS?”

I am personally glad BTS is never dealing with Ellen ever again and that gives me peace of mind. They don’t deserve this and of course they really need to be very careful who they keep around especially now. I say this as just a ordinary adult, not as an angry ARMY. I understand cultures are different between Korea and United States. Ellen may not have known that it’s a taboo to ask dating or romance related questions to BTS. I personally think even for an American standard, what Ellen asked was out of line. Well, asking about romance should be avoided at all costs with BTS because whomever they date will also face a lot of stuff and everyone will be after the men too. Sad, but let’s all just keep the peace.

I wish I could have been the translator. I would have asked the boys to stand and take a bow, thank ARMY in the best way possible and make a grand exit. After they left, I would tell Ellen I smelled fiah on her breath and slap her silly and walk off. I am accepting of all types of people, but if you're going to be crude, I will, too.

No offense, but don't you think using the word "Lesbian" is a bit weird here? Why does being Lesbian has anything to do with any of this. How is she racist? All she did was asking if they ever hook up with their fan, which is a pretty normal conversation in the US. And she did stopped asking the question after she noticed their reaction. Ellen had the tendency to make people uncomfortable, not just with BTS but she has done it with other celebrities as well. The only thing is the celebrities in The US are used to that behaviour from ellen. They even laugh sometimes, because they know the way she is, but is is totally different for BTS, because their culture is completely different. She should get more educated in other peoples cultures and realized that, she should be respectful to others. To me, she is a nasty person, thinking she can do or say anything she wants just because is her show and she is famous. I aplaude BTS for not wanting to go back to her show. It’s okay, they don’t need her to promote them on her show, they are Already Famous, and other people had them on there shows. BTS don’t need that garbage from her. They are to precious and valuable to be on her show anyways. Good for them!

I'm all for being culturally aware when approaching someone of such things. It's pretty horrendous behavior she did that. The show is notorious for toxicity, rudeness, insensitivity, restrictions, and just ridiculous "rules", I'm disappointed it's still even a show that continues. If we want to only see A list celebs than fine, but other celebrities are still celebrities. Foolishness.

I'm a 15 year old girl too but that doesn't mean that I keep putting 'I love you' messages in BTS vlives(Im not criticising anyone), even if I do that absolutely means as love towards seven elder brothers. This ellen is absolutely outrageous. Just before I watched this video I was watching one of their interviews on ellen show(ps. I didn't know they broke contact with ellen) and suddenly I felt really angry at ellen, I didn't know why so I searched BTS and ellen and found this video... Thanks so much💜..... 6:54 I might have slapped her... I'm literally boiling with rage at ellen. As the host of a show she shouldn't dare to do this to anyone. It's intolerable. BTS deserves love and respect not insulting questions.
