I have always wondered how on Earth Sato can take SO MANY punches in head and still be able to continue fighting in aggressive manner? He is the Japanese Robocop!
Its wasn't a punch that got him. It was the knee. You guys can tell Buakaw was trying to hold in the pain but it was too much and he gave in. Knee to the liver is painful. Great fight.
From the second half, Buakaw received a painful kick to his stiff right leg. Another similar kick to Sato's right leg and knee was too dangerous before Buakaw accepted the fall.
Buakaw seemed to have better technique but Sato just seemed tougher. taking all those punches to the face and still keeping up without any problem till the end
Omg!!! Sato's like a tank!!!! Buakaw was getting perfect full force face punches and Sato stayed up!! I love Buakaw hes my all time favorite but i gotta give Sato hella credit for staying up! Sato can take a hit most def!
Buakaw is a great fighter, but I don't think it's fair to start making conspiracy theories as to why he lost. I think there should be some credit given to Sato, as he put on a good fight.
Buakaw took a dive... I'm sure he got paid off pretty good. I've seen him take some huge shots and not even get wobbled, he's got an iron jaw yet a weak right hook thrown at 50% power knocks him out? C'mon now...
That was a good fight. Buakaw clearly has a great chin, but when you catch one on the button like that your balance is going right out the window. Many a fighter has fallen to a single punch on the ear.
At the 3rd round of 1:37mins to end, unfortunately Buakaw get 2 knees land on his stomach, after the 3rd knee 1:23 he cannot fight anymore...
I thought "mad respect for this sato guy, this dude is just equally tough as buakaw." But now that i've seen the end...i think it was staged, just look at the way he goes down, he was opening up and waiting. And i wonder if it was just about money, or smth else.
Crazy fight... However, you can see that Buakaw gave up long before that last punch though. Wasn't the punch that finished him, probably one of the knees right before.
I give Sato credit for the KO but you know damn well the fight going Buakaw's way. If it hadn't been for that knee that shuts his body down. Yeah Sato!!! good man dude you finally beat him after so many loses. It's the determination that I Admired of Sato.
Maybe that could be buakaw's only weak point. He wins and defeats so many matches he is not used to taking his own medicine :) Such a good fight from both.
Sato is getting way good and of course he aims to win one way or another. I really admired him as a great fighter now, but really to me challenging some one so many times just to prove you can beat him have it's lost in value. That's just me though LOL
BUAKAW es muy bueno quiza el mejor, pero en esta pelea SATO le da una soberana paliza ya en el 2 Round se veia a Buakaw sintiendo los golpes de Sato y en 3 round lo machaco por completo, good figth
The Yoshihiro Sato that showed up in 2008 was truly on another level. He went most of his career as a B level fighter but in 2008 he truly stepped it up and it showed it in this fight knocking out a legend in Buakaw(keep in mind that this Buakaw was highly motivated coming into the 08 tournament after getting a clinic put on him in 07 by Masato).
Yaochou (throw a fight) 100% you can see buakaw still have full conscious while his arms touching the ground to prevent injury from falling down . And he hide his face cuz its more easy to trick the audiences
If Buakaw fall after that knee and take a rest durning counting he can came back and maybe win. But he just stay stuned for five seconds and let knock himself.
Good fight, Sato is skinny, strong guy. Be hit too many times; but he is still keep fighting. Wonder why Sato beat Buakaw. He is good fighter for 7, 8 years.
Guys Thailand Buakaw in my opinion this tired, that punch to knock out the no Sato, Buakaw has a tough chin, another Time I Say Buakaw had some physical problem hug for Thailand
I never noticed it before, but at 5:01 Sato tries to signal the ref that Buakaw had thrown an elbow, which he clearly had not.
People just need to accept that Buakaw can lose. Those knees took him out and he lost the will to fight, he was too tired and couldn't keep his hands up. Good fight.
So your theory is the accumulation of kicks to the body of Buakaw drained him? It looked like Buakaw just keeled over form exhaustion. Not from taking a knockout punch. As if it were fixed. This is the fight game. Lots of betting going on. A fixed fight is rarely obvious. But if it were this would be one. The way Buakaw went down was so unnatural IMHO.
The hit from the knee stopped his breathing...as a result his brain gassed out of oxygen... and he couldnt think clrearly he just stood there looking at sato with his hands down complete comfused ( Brain LAg :P)
No wonder k1 obviously , just a tvshow for japanese . Thats why rating and drama story become a part of this show. They do business , they need profit.
+егор михеев, поддерживаю! Мой любимый боец, с превосходной техникой и мощными ногами! Лучший, как по мне! Я даже не поверил своим глазам, когда он в нокаут ушёл.=(
11:14 Buakaw starts hugging Sato, 11:50 he takes two knees, 12:06 a third knee, 12:08 a kick to the thighs, 12:12 a knock to the temple, 12:14 he hits the canvas, he lies down, dizzy and head spinning, he decides to "live to fight another day". Two excellent fighters than can take down 99.9999% of the world, but in the same ring it's punishment.
Sato blocked almost every kock Buakaw threw whoch is probably why Buakaw wasn't able to do a lot of damage. Sato kept hitting the body with effective kicks and they took their toll on Buakaw and finally he went out. Its obviously not fixed, if Buakaw was the type to throw fights there would be way more losses on his record. He would be the bob sapp of kickboxing if that was the case
No. You can throw 1 fight and you don't know how many the mafia and bookies made buakaw throw. And that's a pretty dumb logic "if you throw fights you would be like bob sapp" no? Wtf 🐸
