"Dying for Pie" is one of the most emotional episodes of the show and animation is very fluent in that one too.

I slightly disagree. After all, by trying to make SpongeBob’s supposed last moments meaningful, SpongeBob nearly kills him two times. I’d say the brick wall falling on Squidward was enough Karma for his comment. But then again, the ending is hilarious, and the pie hitting Squidward in the face acts as Karma for him trying to cheat his way out of making a homemade gift. So…*shrugs*

@chaosshadic40 But then u have Squidward being angry that Spongebob is alive instead of being angry yet relieved. It's pretty clear that Squidward wasn't doing all that to actually be good to Spongebob because it was right, but to clear his own conscience, in which he deserved all the pain at the end.

Come on y'all really got to stop with the myth that Mr. Krabs was never too greedy in the early seasons or how he never becomes a so called "father figure" to Spongebob in the later seasons. There's plenty of episodes in later seasons where he is. Like seriously if you think Krabs wasn't one dimensional in the early seasons then you have a lot of excuses to make for episodes like today's set. What's your excuse for Bubble Buddy and Krabs not caring for his employee's well being like the work that Bubble made Squidward do? How about accepting any kind of money no matter what? Dirty money or not. Next the penny. That's not greed? How about taking that penny out of Spongebob's paycheck? People try to act like he was a father figure to Spongebob in that episode with Bubble Bass and yet what did he do when he supposedly failed? "Those $2 are coming out of your paycheck." He didn't care for him in that episode, he only wanted him back because he was losing money cause no one else could fry cook the food like him. Krabs would have gladly left Spongebob to stay a broken mess if Squidward could make the same quality of Krabby Patties. And today's biggest culprit episode, having to make your new employees pay money to work there. $100 a hour for Spongebob to pay Mr. Krabs when he started working and $50 an hour for Patrick. Y'all need to stop with the nostalgia glasses that all characters were better in earlier seasons, cause in Mr. Krabs case, no he wasn't.

@@reanbright2435 There are lots of cases were mr. Krabs does obsessed with money but he does still care for his employees . But I actually was prefer in season 1 because season 2 of 3 is where he really started to go downhill. Yes in bubble buddy He force Squidward too take orders for a bobble. But he was doing it because you should respect all customers no matter what they look like. In season one though I think the writers were still finding out his character because they made him more about father figure to SpongeBob. Like in hookey Humiliated SpongeBob at the end teach him a lesson and keep him safe from the hooks. In suds he tells SpongeBob to go home because he's sick. And yes and pickles keep Wanted SpongeBob back because he was losing money but if you own the restaurant and you were losing money you would go out of your way to help your employees because you have to make money to stay in business
