A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. During his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. Arrogant octopus Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob's neighbor, dislikes SpongeBob because of his childlike behavior.

A great batch of episodes! Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III: The man ray episode is just hilarious and 4:15 Patrick with the wallet is pure gold 🤣 Squirrel Jokes: 10:25 I love how upset Nick got with Patrick in that episode. He was being rotten in that episode. Pressure: 17:50 Sandy not having her helmet and gasping for air always makes me nervous and I panic. 19:11 Patrick picking up popcorn like a chicken is also great 😂 The Smoking Peanut: 26:55 Patrick singing in the background when SpongeBob is telling them not to harm him always get me 😂 Can’t wait for the next set of episodes. Shanghaied and the Band Geeks episode are both coming up soon 😁

Yeah one thing you learn if you pay close attention is that Patrick is the biggest gaslighter lol. Spongebob does follow instructions but whenever he's with Patrick, Patrick makes sure to start a mess of whatever instructions were given and Spongebob only then follows along. Sandy's Rocket, he was willing to follow Sandy's instructions but then Patrick came along and ruined it. Also Sandy's hibernation, Spongebob wanting to not go in once Sandy left instructions, Patrick ignored them. Same here with Man Ray.

I've seen a few videos saying that Patrick is actually the smartest in the show and just acts dumb to be friends with Spongebob or tricks people so he can get away with anything. @@SilverScribe85 Yeah, it actually mentions his name and the character he voiced at 1:26. Despite John Rhys-Davies still being alive, Man Ray's voice got replaced with Bob Joles starting with the video game Lights, Camera, Pants! released in 2005 and the episode "Mermaid Man vs. SpongeBob" in 2007. The reason for replacing John Rhys-Davies is unknown, although some say Bob Joles might have been an easier guy to get a hold of or the producers thought his Man Ray voice sounded better, but who really knows for sure?

@@andykishore In some ways, Joles' Man-Ray DOES sound better...but you can't forget the man who helped start it all. As for why they replaced John...my theory is that the first couple of episodes that featured him as Man-Ray happened when Lord of the Rings was being filmed. As a result, John may have had to be called away from the studio. This may have prompted the Nick execs to find an actor with a near similar voice tone but someone who was easier to get a hold of

2:10 That’s answered in the season 8 episode “Mermaid Man Begins.” (And spoilers ahead) For Mermaid Man, he nearly drowned, but was rescued by mermaids, who gave the seashell that he wears on his nose because it allows him to breathe underwater. And with Barnacle Boy, he was scrubbing barnacles underwater, and Mermaid Man used his powers to draw barnacles into his body so that he could breathe underwater as well.

SpongeBob uses clever wordplay like that. The name "clam clamu" is definitely a playful nod to "Shamu" the whale. It's always fun to catch those little references in shows, right? Oh, I see what you mean now! So in SpongeBob, when SpongeBob's clothes appear on Shamu, who is actually a clam, it can be seen as a playful reference. It's possible that the show is making a light-hearted joke, but I don't think it's necessarily making fun of SeaWorld itself. SpongeBob is known for its clever humor and amusing references. Oh, got it! So Clamu is the orca whale and Shamoo is the clam. I can see why you thought SpongeBob was representing SeaWorld and Shamu.
