I really, really enjoyed this one. I think the voice acting was really great, but also I really resonated with the story itself. I've had these situations happen before, I've had these kinds of conversations and feelings. Relationships can be messy like this, and hurting someone you care about (or being hurt by someone) is such a like, fundamentally human experience. But that's why I think it really hits here. And dgmw, I love a cliche and easy happy ending, usually that's what I go to listener audios for. But there is also something really cathartic about how grounded this one feels.

i probably should've commented on the first one but i went immediately to this one so i didn't get the chance. the listener sounds like they could be me in the future. all the talk of being in a dark place in the past and being better now, and making such a good, close friend, and even being an artist- it's basically all i want for myself. i've never realized it before but seeing (and in a way being) someone who's _been_ in a really difficult time but is now healed from that gave me so much hope for my own future. like, it's really showing me, this _is_ possible to achieve from the place i'm at right now. thank you for making such a beautiful story.

I personally loved the 2 part idea, it gave me more time to get invested in the story and as you mentioned more of your voice is never a bad thing. Same goes for the amount of fluff, I personally love scripts with fluff or slice of life aspects because it gives the more emotionally intense moments room to breathe and leave an impact. It just kinda feels more... real. That isn't to say that I don't enjoy dense scripts that leave me on the edge of my seat, but it's harder to get into the right headspace to really enjoy them, if that makes any sense. At the end of the day, I know anything you upload is going to be great, no matter the topic or length. You're an incredible voice actor, I honestly don't think I can name someone who nails every little detail better than you do. Keep up the incredible work Tanuki, I'm already looking forward to your next upload!

I normally use ASMR videos to fall asleep, but there's something about your voice and the scripts that makes me hang on every word, and by the time the outro started, I hadn't realized over 30 minutes had passed. What I'm trying to say is I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more long-form videos from you.

Ur voice is rlly pretty like rlly... it's interesting cuz i usually find situational voice to be either hot/cute but ur voice is more towards on the lovely side + the story omg i love it sm hope u'll do more story w this kind of emotions/details, love the script it's not overly complicated to understand or listen to, not too cheezy/cringe and still has it wholesomeness in it❤ def feel like im sitting through a short movie w Ghibli vibe lol love the ending too!! guuuuuuuh. tanuki- i ju- guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh 🥺😭 your audios always hit right on the mark in the feels department. the bit that really got me was when your character said that thing about being glad that listener was alive? i can just see myself in both positions as the listener and the speaker. i say dumb shit before my brain can catch it and when i get really depressed, it just... well, things get... it just gets hard to do things. i mean, your speaker character is leagues better at articulating feelings than i am, which is saying a lot. i love how *real* this two-parter felt. your audios are just so, so fucking good. your delivery and acting and dialogue and the audioscape and sfx, everything is just so, so perfect. rarely does an audio make me feel that tightness in my chest that y'know, you get from ehm- *emotion* but you... you, you definitely did that. good job. great, fantastic job! 😢 thank you. you're quickly becoming one of my favorite audio creators. TANUKI!!!! ohmygoddd i loved this one so much you have such a talent for writing scripts! this was one of my favorite audios ever ^^ i can’t explain how detailed you have to be to evoke physical emotions from listeners… it really takes a lot for me to tear up but at some point i started shaking 😭?? no but seriously, beautiful job nothing needed to be cut out and it definitely wasn’t choppy. i also love how you add the piano at the end! your playing is so good, i’ve just started learning and i hope to be on the same level as you one day!! keep up the amazing work i’ll never forget this one

I’ve finished listening to the two parts!!! It is excellent！ You must have put much effort in it~ I love all the little details you added, they are so interesting and cute, and in audios with much information and plots, they make the audio more relaxing for listeners. It’s really satisfying how his little jokes in pt2 are correlated to the ones in pt1. My favorite are the marshmallow ones(tbh I haven’t toasted marshmallows before and your audio makes me wanna try it someday) The plot really got my mood swinging when listening to the audio! I got really pissed off at the end of pt1, and I was like “I AM DEFINITELY NOT FORGIVING HIM NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS” The confession in pt2 turned out to be sweet though❤ The ending of burning the sweater(Totoro🥺nooo) and toasting marshmallows together is a great symbol of saying goodbye to the past and the character’s growth from being indecisive about his relationships with people to dealing with his own feelings in a more mature way. But irl I am sure that if he say that Sarah is the most important thing at THAT MOMENT he won’t be having a second chance no matter what hehe The sound effects are amazing too! The sound of the birds, the rain, the listener running away, cars passing by…Above all, the sound of the heartbeat is outstandingly good😭 I can literally feel my heart beating. Ah! Lastly, the longer version of the piano at the end is beautiful!!! My birthday is this Sunday and I am planning on making a video to mark this special year for myself. May I have the permission to use it as the bgm? I promise that it’s not for commercial use and I’ll not post it:-D

Best ending to an awesome story. I loved it :D God, I wish I had a friend like your character. I think I would cry, lol. I live vicariously through these listener roles. XD I don't think it was too terribly long. In the first half, I remember thinking in my head thoughts of, "why did you confess if you still like Sarah? Explain Sarah, man!" XD But, I did really like that he explained that he came over because he wanted to make sure we were okay even when he knew we'd probably hate him, that didn't deter him from caring so much for us. And when he got to explaining his involvement with her and all the conflicting emotions, etc. I think the length you used to explain it all was a good length to use. It takes time to really get into those types of emotions and other complex things and relay them all with enough accuracy to really make the other person understand the full situation. I think that was done well. :) I don't really know if making it shorter would've worked better. Personally, I think it was a good length. And it made it much more realistic and believable. Also, I love hearing the piano music play at the end of your audios, especially how it's in theme with the story. :3 The music you played here at this audio's end really worked with the tone of the story. I could get into a bit of an analysis, but that would make this comment much too long. XD Is the piano a recording you downloaded, or did you play it yourself? It's really, really pretty. :3 Thank you so much for another fantastic audio!

ahhhhhh! another happy ending, thank goodness! i appreicated the explanation and it all fit and made sense and now my brain doesn'y have to race with suspense anymore! 🤧 AND THE MARSHMALLOWS ARE COMING BACK! FULL CIRCLE! 🎉😂 it was an interesting experience, to have a 2 part video. i'm kinda impatient so i especially appreciated that it was only a day between both uploads, enough time to keep me on the edge of my seat without the tension diminishing. as for the "draggy" bit i'd only say that moment by the end with the "you don't think we can be friends...but you don't want me to leave?". it may be my impatience again, just making me go "NOW HUUUUUUUUUGGGG!!!! 🫨🫨🫨" but it wasn't so unpleasant that i would say i hated it either. otherwise, all the little details just add to the friendship of the characters, i didn't think it was too much fluff. sidenote i worry about saying this, but this series gave me some big feelings and i'm not sure if i'd be able to relisten to it again anytime soon. i'm still waiting for my heart to calm down a little more after all that. but at the same time i feel my reaction also helps me relate to and like the ending so much. like, they're not jumping into anything serious, they need to adjust to the changes and recenter themselves after the conflict. it feels...right(?) that they'd want to take things slow and do what they were before before "heating things up". i enjoyed your writing with this story. it really comes off as a very authentic experience from people who are working hard to be emotionally cognizant and communicative with themselves and others. i can relate to that to some degree (whether or not i'm as successful as these 2 is debatable 😅) and i like how you chose to portray this sort of storyline. oh! and i really like the dynamic between the different characters and even if not all of them talk, you really get a sense that they're all on different journeys/in different places in their journeys of healing. in other audios i've heard in the past usually it's only 1 person (usually the listener but sometimes the speaker in reverse comfort audios) who's going through stuff and while those scripts have their place, this one feels like...idk like you decided to take a more "nuanced" approach to the prompt and include the idea that everyone is going through/has been through something. wow that's a lot 😅 it's been a minute since i've thought this hard about a storyline. like i said, it gave me BIG feelings 😂. but as always thank you again for sharing your work, it's a pleasure to have been recommended your videos and heard your work. may you always have a little more energy to do all the things you need and want to do 🙏.
