My brother recently told me I should watch this so here I am. My brother was a huge Buckethead fan and wore a hat with Buckethead on it everyday. In memory of my brother Wayne Edward Steiger 09/11/1964 - 06/16/2021 FUCK CANCER!
My brother turned me on to Buckethead back when he chunked out the Praxis albums (early 90's). We saw him live a couple of times together. My brother too succumbed to f'in cancer. I feel ya.
I'm a huge Slash fan, but he honestly doesn't hold a candle to Buckethead. The guy get's up on stage with nothing but a guitar and plays a whole concert solo. How many other guitarists could do without lead vocals, and the rest?
very, very few. Hendrix sttyll of master only very few.but you can start by lessen some Paul gilbert(one of Buckethed idols) or Frack Zappa,or Steve vay.but you are right, very few can play an all gig by himself´s.
@@IMissBH subjective, i grew up listening to GnR , but never knew that the Bucket would rock and sooth me harder than anyone else, the master of All genres
For real! Although technically he is rated 8th shredder but for his style I would put him first! Although Micheal Angelo batio is rated top I guess for good reason too lol
İ tried just now and i can do that and i feel weird because im 6'2" but my fingers are too little for my height but strangely they flex very good i can max do fret 1 to 7 thats my limit but can't play that comfortable 1-6 is more playable
I know it gets said in every Siege Engine live shot.. but god damn.. that solo makes my hand hurt just watching it. that spread is massive. you can tell its taxing on him too. all his other playing, he holds the guitar in roughly the same place... every time I've seen him play that solo, he has to wrench the neck up near him and get his whole hand wrapped up and under the neck.
You got that right. He was bless with this kind if talent by God at birth. How many people on this planet could duplicate this? Talent on loan from God. Its darn sure not of this world.
No mere mortal will never know….My worthless 2 cents say why he dominates the guitar more than anyone else is due a touch of asperger and tons of love from family. But then again speculation never served me well
This specific version is of siege engine is by far the best. The little fill ins he did 0:10 1:08 1:13 1:46 2:40 we're nothing but spectacular. And the solo was perfection. Couldn't ask for a better show from Buckethead
I feel this is possibly the best live version of Siege Engine. The guitar tone is just more crisp, less muddy, and well defined compared to other versions.
The difference is, with some it is an extension of their manhood whereas we bucket it is an extension of his soul! Sounds a bit cheesy but you get the drift
@@RegurgiNate84 excuse my really late reply, but yes! Most of the time that's the case for me when I'm listening to buckethead. Everyday I enjoy another little segment of his endless solos. And I love how there are so much to discover honestly, I feel lucky.
I just started listening to this guy about a year ago and I seriously deprived myself of some serious guitar work. He is just an absolute master of his craft at no matter what kind of feel or mood he's putting in his playing. No matter what style of music he has no problem getting his message across.IMO he needs to up there with the greats.
Thought I'd seen every version of this song. This is WAY different. He plays out different every time. I actually saw him live back in 2019. Got a great video of this song...😊
Seeing someone able to do something THIS perfect makes me feel like me being birthed into this world was a huge natural mistake. Like, there exist people that have this kind of talent... and then there's me.
Buckethead obsessively worked his ass off to be this good. And maybe some if it is a gift from God, but he put the time in again and again for most of his life. Let it encourage you, not discourage you. His talent is a testament to hard work.
Fukkk.......I mean.....the total BADASSNESS of just stopping the tune, turning around and quick tuning that Gibby up, then turning back around, firing it all back up, and killing the fukkkin SHIT out of Siege Engine live...epic freestyling the holyfukkk outta the lead Bucket style! It's why I'm such a MASSIVE Buckethead fan. These vids on tube lure me in overnover. I can't get enough of them. Buckethead is just a huge talent, and I think millions know it, and love him for it, but does HE know how much? I don't think so. If he knew how much of a fan I was..... he'd mail me a toy. A chicken toy, or chainsaw toy. Cuz,....U know.....I want one..........
The really interesting thing is that Buckethead is the master of the simple Major Scale. If you want to play like Buckethead, learn the basic Major Scale and learn to move it into every degree. Supplement with divergence into the Harmonic Minor, and occasional Pentatonic, add some Chromatics, and you have most of what he does. However, now practice this for 100,000 hours and you may get close to his skill with these simple tools. Have fun! Cheers!
Starts his song..... Then,.... It's time fo dat tunnah! ....... Tweeks her a lil...... Then turns around and PHUKKKIN KILLS IT!!!! Only his highness King Buckethead, ruler of Buckethead Land, and all it's realms pulls THAT shitt off gracefully! I'll gladly give my gold for taxes and protection your majesty, King Buckethead. You rule!!
