So with that in mind, here are 5 buddhist ways of dealing with the fear of missing out from Gautama Buddha -
01. Embrace Solitude
02. Trust Your Own Plans
03. Train Your Mind
04. Fight Your Fear
05. Find Your Joy
I hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope these 5 buddhist ways of dealing with the fear of missing out from Gautama Buddha will add value to your life.
The Buddha was a philosopher, meditator, spiritual teacher, and religious leader who is credited as the founder of Buddhism. He was born as Siddhartha Gautama in India in 566 BC into an aristocratic family and when he was twenty-nine years old, he left the comforts of his home to seek the meaning of the suffering he saw around him. After six years of arduous yogic training, he abandoned the way of self-mortification and instead sat in mindful meditation beneath a bodhi tree. On the full moon of May, with the rising of the morning star, Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha, the awakened one. The Buddha wandered the plains of northeastern India for 45 years more, teaching the path or Dharma he had realized in that moment. Around him developed a community of people, drawn from every tribe and caste, devoted to practicing this path. Nowadays, he is worshiped by most Buddhist schools as the enlightened one who has escaped the cycle of birth and rebirth, transcending Karma. Their main teachings focus on their insight into duhkha meaning “suffering” and into Nirvana, which means the end of suffering.

The quote reflects Buddha's profound insight into the nature of reality and enlightenment. Through his journey of intense meditation, self-discovery, and inner peace, Buddha realized that suffering arises from our attachments and misconceptions. When we see the world without these illusions, recognizing the interconnectedness and perfection of everything, we can experience true freedom and joy, symbolized by laughing at the sky in pure bliss.

My son's mother doesn't let me see him and it has literally plagued me every day since I last saw him. Life has become meaningless and I watch myself age without love and joy. The life that could have been. Meditation has helped me more than anything, but I still find it extremely challenging to let go of attachment (to the point it's not painful - I'll never let go of the hope of seeing him) Here's to us all learning the path 🙏❤️

I don’t know your situation but I know how bad women act. Some women use the son or daughter to get revenge, to hurt the father or to manipulate. Even when it hurts ignore her. She may be gets pleasure in knowing you care and inflicting you pain. May be the mother seeing that you are better and happy with your life she will feel that she has lost her power over you. Your son will reach out for you when he grows up, true colors always come out and he will know his mother is a bad person. Trust Karma

@@valeriasanchezpch thank you 🙏 Yes it was blatantly revenge for leaving her but it's making our son a victim that I don't understand. She has her own narrative that she must assure herself to be justified. Life can be painful when you think of what you don't have, I'm learning to be grateful regardless but it can be challenging. I don't wish any bad for her, quite the opposite as it would also benefit my son if she would be mentally stable. I hope someday in the future all comes good but we can't live there as it may never be. Thank you for your kind words 🙏❤️

I love the idea of embracing solitude as a way to combat FOMO. It's so empowering to think that true happiness comes from within and not from external experiences. This video really made me rethink my relationship with social media and how I spend my time. Has anyone else tried practicing mindfulness to deal with FOMO?

I love how FOMO has ever applied to me. Missing out is the best feeling ever, true freedom and independence. Only making time for the right moments, not every possible moment.

The way to deal with FOMO is not to compare yourself to others and to work towards what is important to yourself.

Great message. The spelling (and occasionally editing) needs work. There are many mistakes.

Learning to trust my own plans and not compare myself to others is such a valuable lesson. It's easy to feel left behind when everyone around you seems to be achieving so much. This video reminded me that my journey is unique and that I should appreciate my own progress. Has anyone here successfully applied these Buddhist teachings to their life?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'd still rather have money, a spouse, and a nicer home than a list of the mediocre things that are good in my life right now 😂

This video beautifully explains how Buddhist principles can help us find joy in missing out. I've always struggled with FOMO, but the concept of focusing on the present and appreciating what I have is really resonating with me. The analogy of the monks creating and destroying the sand mandala is a powerful reminder of the impermanence of life. What are your thoughts on this practice?

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain

Yeah. It's so easy. Just be successful and GET the things what are the most important 4 u. At least the most important. And be generous to life if it doesn't deliver the rest. But be warned. DO GET the most important ones. Otherwise u'll be just a loser with FOMO.

This channel looks like it is failing commercially. Is that a pity. Wellll it's very sterile isn't it? It's whole aesthetic may be encouraging worse health than the supposedly worthwhile tips it dishes out. Don't worry I telll myself and leave it behind which I and hopefully you will find easy to do!

The channel doesn’t do bad. Usually people want to listen in about specific philosophies or philosophers. You can see that from past videos.
