National has kept its tax cut promise in the Coalition's debut Budget, laying out a relief package largely in line with the 'Back Pocket Boost' it campaigned on during the election. Read more: tinyurl.com/mz94zrvv
I find it a little concerning that the mister did not mention farming or agriculture once. Especially since it is our largest industry and export by some margin
Tourism is our largest industry. Know who's really making money off our ag industry? I'll give you a hint, some people say their president looks like Whinny The Pooh 🤔
The Government should put strategies in place to protect all citizens against medical fraudsters whom only serve themselves and not those with disabilities and long term health issues. This whole sector does not work for the good of new Zealand citizens.
You must make a commitment to those *on the ground* lots of generalisation and not enough targeted groups or areas to bring about change. I hope to see a difference in the future.
1) A society is judged on how it treats its most vulnerable. 2) NZ already has 130,000 households in energy poverty. The proposed $15 per month increase in electricity bills will push more households into energy poverty. The budget did nothing. 3) Foodbanks in 2023 in NZ fed 480,000 people per month. Equivalent to the population of NZ per year. The budget did nothing. 4) Rent to income ratios in NZ rank as some of the highest in the world. The budget did nothing.
An idiot comment, obviously you don’t understand when this coalition government open the books after taking over from labour they realized the unhindered spending that labour has done over there terms in government, short version we are in serious debt bought in by labour spending, so what do you do, deliver a budget that is trying to get the books back into balance if you where a business owner/self employed you would understand basic economics
I'm Maori recently i was in America for a few weeks what i notice in many African Americans we met saying a big priority was to put their children through education and to high professional careers like lawyers and to be Doctors my sister and i were very impressed we notice black international pilots stay at the 5 star hotel we stayed at also there were many beautiful dressed African Americans that was in Houston Texas and Memphis i was so proud of that race and i thought when i get home i tell my daughter as these Americans have to pay for their education as my daughter lets her children stay at home they have free education here in nz but no they think they are hard done by my daughter just example she needs a good kick up the arse as not many of us Maoris has suffered like the stories i've heard from these African Americans and yet they stride to get to a better place in life Once i used to think us Maoris were hard done by but we not we need to get this we have equal opportunity to get educated first and know we can become what ever we want to be as look at the majority of African Americans they pretty much know even if they are in prejudice surroundings they still believe in education as a top priority and i can see their point us Maoris need to do the same.
Well said man . Inflation is caused by money printing that is backed by nothing since 1972 when the us dollar was taken off the gold standard backing during the vietnam war. Interesting. People need to understand that you will remain poorer by saving in fiat currency. The banks and govts around the world know this, hence why we are on the precipice of global financial reset. Its about time people wake up and realise the importance of owning assets and learning what happened in history.
Still 10cents above what it was under the Helen gov and now under this gov we will be able to open more gold mines more coal mining oil and gas exploration not hogtied by a bunch of backward go nowhere Marxist far left idioligy morons
David Seymour should take the whole country on as he seem to be all his ideas on everything to this new government What would he be like if he was the actual Prime minster?.
The re-arranging of the chairs on the Titanic. How many millions to alter the brightline test? Sleight-of-hand to put millions into the hands of "management"
Look! Im welloff and dont need tax cut. I love to pay tax. I do. Shouldnt cut the tax. I dont need help from nobody. I vote Green to have clean air and a healthy life . Go Green!❤
Show off been Wealthy a healthy life when the air has all sorts of viruses around you will never be totally free from diseases and viruses this is life vote Labour next time .
@@andysurfer318 Ain't no needy in this country that haven't gotten themselves there by having kids when they shouldn't have or otherwise making bad decisions. Go stick up for some actual hard done by homeless, not the ones we have that get paid $400 per week and then still beg because they spent it all on piss or dope.
Yip go green let's all buy electric cars so they have to burn more coal to keep up with the electricity demand.... labour and greens EVs definitely saving the planet
Oh my goodness. Has she put on weight. In only 6 months. Stress eating. I'm sure. 1st budget has had it costs . Borrowing over 10 billion to pay for hand outs for voting them in. Truth hurts
Health And safety is the most important influence on all new Zealanders. It would be great to see motivated medical professionals whom behave like Professional Practitioners not Corporate Career Junkies with no skills. New Zealanders are intelligent enough to tell and differentiate between Professional Medical Staff and Customer services group of people with no medical knowledge or experience.
Is it possible to ask a question/make a statement (I can't tell which you are doing) with any less substance than this?? You truly are the epitome of the average "FTG" acronym user. I bet you've got a maori pattern sleeve, don't vote because "it doesn't matter", and own the slowest Falcon in NZ that somehow still makes illegal amounts of noise.
@@Charlie-nc3cp said like a true boot licker the only thing you got right is I’m maori 😂😂😂😂 Your the reason we true nzers will always be paying these useless government stnuc more money than they need we could end the debt by stopping all payments to the greedy whakas but we are all working for them n they are supposedly meant to be working for us so i proudly say FTG N WHA Q🖕🏾
BRAVO NIKOLA AND UR PARTENERS IN PREPARING SUCH A GOOD BALANCED BUDGET!!!!! ITS NOT GOING TO PLEASE EVERYONE BUT THOSE WHO ARE AWARE OF THE MESS LEFT BY LABOUR GOVT. SMILE &PROD ON,!!!!!
The budget is very vague depending highly on future that it will get better. What is being careful, isn't planning should be more priorities. the rents are not getting lower. who exactly is getting benefitted. This budget sucks.. I fear for Aotearoa
Thanked everyone except all the people who were made to sacrifice jobs and livelihoods to even give this govt a budget to speak of... You're welcome....I guess?!?!?
You dont know how money works in a central bank issued monetary system. If you have audible you can listen to the book "The creature FROM Jekyll Island" which is a history of American central banking. It explains how money is issued in the current system. Tldr: The government gets its money out of thin air from the reserve bank and taxation is a means of currency control, not how the govt earns money.
Great stuff. Devoting 66% of the budget to core services of Health, Education and Justice, with a focus on front-line services, means that spending is now prioritised where it is needed most. Better education, better healthcare, less crime - sounds good to me.
@@Staff_Guru101 It is literally what she announced. What's wrong with NZ is people who throw insults at others who have different opinions, like a 6 year old. Grow up.
Given the options were between: a) the guy that didn't do anything for the country during his year as Prime Minister, and whose party did negative good for the country, and: b) a fresh face that had much more chance of actually doing something; you can't really blame the voters for not being braindead enough to agree with you on picking labour for another term and hoping they were going to miraculously do something different from their previous go-to of essentially doing the political version of taking a big poo on the economy
This country is full of braindead morons who believe one side is better than the other. The whole point of political parties is purely to DIVIDE us by ideology and it has worked. Just look at how it has worked out for us so far.
Treating Māori like everybody else is the same as treating everybody else as if they were wealthy. Māori will NOT benefit from cuts to budget allocated to programmes culturally designed to address Māori specific needs. I think we are going back to 1907, when Māori initiatives to solve their own problems were considered a crime, or a breach of the law. In the health sector, 1000 nurses. Mean nothing, especially when you subtract the number that left for Australia, UAE and UK. Tourists will go to South America, to down their money there. Sooo cheap and beautiful. Ten billion cuts covered with a loan of 12 billion? Wake me up!
I’m Brazilian and there are things that NZers do and I won’t, even if death is imminent as an outcome. Ignoring cultural needs will not help people progress. The times when the majority were Caucasians from Europe has gone long ago. I can see you are a supporter. If this ever works, I will join you. I’ve been here for 30+ years and haven’t seen it work. Best of luck.
You clearly are not a born New Zealander. These people are like the chinese government. Only they do it with a smile and murder people through deprivation of access to life saving drugs, medical care, education food and money, Not much difference at all actually.
