I was eyeballing one of those from K&F concept. I‘ve worked with them in the past and they have quite good products on their lineup! Maybe I’ll let a coin decide which to buy 🤣

@VicBarry Sorry. Yes, I did mean with everything plugged into a GoPro. The microphone adapter plugs into the larger slot, leaving that smaller port open. I guess that ì don't know what that smaller port is for, and whether or not if that smaller port can accept power while filming? I'll Google it and see if I can come up with an answer as to what that small port is for. Sorry for having a blonde moment.
Very thorough review. I'm also using an FX3 and just received the battery. Your rig looks very compact which I'd prefer. What V-mount battery Plate and mount system are you using? Perhaps link to the elements on Amazon the manufacturer.
Great review Vic! Could be just what I’m looking for! I use a battery grip with two canon batteries to power my DSLR all night when im shooting a Timelapse of the Milky way, and both batteries are dead by the morning! I wonder how this would behave and being outside all night? It can get a bit dewy! It’s probably not designed to be out all night, but would hopefully power the camera until dawn!!
Cheers 🙏 Yeah. It’s not moisture proof but the seals on it seem decent. So at your own risk I guess 🤣 From my own experience, even recently I shot a 15 hour Timelapse with a big standard usb power pack and had zero issues.
It seems like the d tap on the SE model only provided 10amps where as the vb99 and others provide 14amps. Don’t know which case this would actually be limiting but it is frustrating and misleading
Rated power outputs. The 99SE only does 10A on the DTAP. The regular and Pro do 14A. Additionally the Pro can do 100Wx2 USB-C, while the lower two are limited to 1xUSB-C/65W.
How does an Irish citizen, living in Dublin, can buy any (v-mount) batteries from Amazon UK, or Germany or any other place around the world !!?? Because for the life of me, all these items cannot be shipped to my Dublin address 😡. I tried SmallRig, Neweer, K&F Koncept.. all saying same thing - “This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location” 🤬🤬🤬… I mean, we can fly with these on airplanes but Amazon won’t deliver these to Ireland!!! 😂
