Nothing wrong with budget boilers. Heat input/flow rates ,reliable components and crucially a clean system and you can't put too much QUALITY inhibitor in the system!
Nice video. You commented on how light the boiler was to carry, I wonder if this indicates that the heat exchanger is thinner gauge stainless steel? Hopefully not !
My engineer didn't fit a PRV is this needed? Is this the copper pipe sticking out and what does the pressure release valve do etc 12:23 in the video Thank you
Hi, can you tell me is there a timer with this compact boiler? Or do I have to buy separately. I rang gloworm and he told me there should be a timer? I can’t find if so! Many thx
Really informative video on the compacts. Can you range rate them? What are your thoughts on boiler controls? Being ex bg when i left i always fitted hive as it was what I knew. I now try and fit makers controls especially on glow worm and vaillant for efficiency. Just curious on what you do in general?
Hi thanks for the comment. I don't believe you can manually range rate these no. They do however accept weather compensation sensor/controls. You should always install the manufacturers controls where possible. This has Ebus. I normally just do what the customers want. I advise only , I'm not loyal to any particular brand or control so I treat each job separately as they come. The hive has good smart features, but offers no weather comp or opentherm so it's pretty poor really. Cheers.
