Allen & Heath clear winner , man I have some issues with the way you present it though ! Yes credit to you , you mention the far superior sound quality , which is obviously the most important aspect of a mixer. But you complain about it not being 4 channel , Remember youre reviewing 2 channel mixers man , and that wouldnt even be possible on any other of the mixers in this series ! imo , any good dj only needs 2 channels , 90% of the time 2 is all you need ! Also you point out the "problem" with the external effects , saying you cant stop the effects, that you need an effects unit with a dry/wet setting , man , you can just hit the "ext-on" button on the mixer , and that will stop sending audio to the effects ! Dont understand the logic there ! Credit to you though you do point out some of its good aspects , I just dont understand your negative critiques of it , for the reasons mentioned above. The build quality is amazing yes , have tried the DJM 250 and it just feels like a big ball of shite compared to the Xone 23, if anyone is reading this and in the market for a 2 channel mixer , the Xone 23 is the one ! Beauutiful feel and sound to it , just enhances the whole experience. If youre very keen on scratching then upgrade the crossfader, to get such a well made mixer for this kind of price range , its a beauty , I use a Nu-x atlantic delay and reveb pedal with it , and absolutely love my set up ! Highly reccomend
@@usdjxavi im just saying the video makers complaint about the mixer always sending sound to the effects unit , isnt a problem if you just hit the "ext-on" button on the mixer , that will stop sending audio to the effects , just hit that button whenever you want to enable / disable sending sound to the effects !
As the past owner of a DJM250, i will say its fucking great as a first sort of mixer! I bought it for 100$ from some guy trying to get rid of it in a Sam Ash... it served me well. I used it to sit in between other people's DJ gear and my speaker setup. I did run into problems running a DJM350/CDJ350 setup into it, it distorted a bit too much. the preamp for the mic is VERY sensitive and honestly shitty, also no ducking so have to manually duck the fader when you're talking. Great if you want your hands on the DJM filter sound. Get two CDJ400's for a steal and learn real non synced beatmatching with this like I did!
HI! I'm wondering what kind of external effects can work with Xone 23. I wanted to buy pioneer rmx 500 you said it not work like we can hear, but it sounds like it because effect was turn of to max right? What if I plug effect with full wet which has volume control? maybe eventide time factor? or BOSS - DD-7 | Digital Delay?

The only thing I don't like about the DJM250 filters is that their resonance is too high for my taste. The Xone let you control how much you want with a dedicated knob, though you only have one available.
+bingstar85 Actually, when you press a cue button, the meter switches to the corresponding channel. It's odd, sure, but at least it's there. A&H aren't that stupid.
+Max16032 I read a review stating otherwise, or at least that's how I read it. Thanks for correcting me there. That said, a seperate PFL meter would be nice. Now I'm torn between the xone23 and the ecler nuo 2.0.
+bingstar85 It is for each channel! When you hit cue on one channel the displayed output is the output of the cued channel. And, the sound quality is better on the AH.
+Flower of Life Not necessarily. Ecler''s sound quality is very good, some say even better than A&H. But surely on par. Their built quality is also amazing. Between those two it is just a matter of personal preference.
A personal decision. Maybe in a manual of music you will find the answer. Sellers and teachers sell items they don't like be at you learning by your way
I've got an important question. I have experienced Xone 23 in the past. I used to play with Traktor. After a while i realised something. When i turned completely left the LF knob , there still existed some bass!!! When i manually did that on Traktor the LF was totally killed but on the mixer is wasn't the same!Like i said it was very easy to realise it. I tried Pioneer DJM 250 mk2 and the LF was ok!Just like the Taktor's one! I mean....What is this? I am about to buy a Xone 92 and really i don't know if this happens also on Xone 92. Can you help me on this please? Thanks!
On Traktor you can go into the settings, and into the mixer section, and change the EQ type. Try changing those settings. Hope you get the problem solved with the 23 and not have it with the 96

Hi, if a cross fader doesn't have a 'THRU' option you can get around this by simply leaving the fader in the middle when you're mixing & just using the channel faders...voila!
Personally for me, i hate the sound of the pioneer. I have the djm250 and the highs are really harsh. I had not noticed until i had used another mixer for a couple of months and when i used my djm250 again it sounded really really harsh on high frequencies. I currently paying for a xone23. My reason for this is sound quality and that is my only reason. The djm250 feels really nice to use, really nice but then so do allen & heath mixers
