Best budget wheels for a gravel/ cross/ road bike? #dtswiss #C1800 #Spline wheels are a great option and not only when building on a budget. Bladed spokes and a sturdy 22 mm ID rim provide a versatile set of wheels for gravel/ cross/ road. I'm using them to build my Trek Crocket drop bar bike.

These came with my Cannondale gravel bike with the XDR setup. Very nice wheels, a bit hearty, easy to set up tubeless and quiet smooth hubs. Running them with Pirelli Cinturato M in 45c tires.

Great and informative video as always. I,ve been wanting to build a gravel bike also (flat bar) but have yet found a decent frame. I definitely will check these rims out thanks again.

for now I just use the wheels that came with my gravelbike, but if they eher break, I will probably choose dtswiss as a replacement. Contrary to kost other wheels I have ridden so far, dtswiss always impressed me with the availability of replacement parts, Adapters and fair prices for quality products.

My 2020 warbird came with these. Great wheels, even better with the newish hub ratchet conversion.

I went with the Mason/Hunt adventure set for my build, great value!

They are? I have the Mason x Hunt 4 seasons as my road wheelset with slicks, wheels + shipping + duties came to around $550CAD and they're under 1600g. How much did this DT Swiss set cost?

I have the cheapest ($25 per rim) DT Swiss 533Ds, in two variants, 26'' and 27.5'', paired with Sapim spokes (32H) and XT Centerlock hubs (QR). They are amazing (and we have been riding them the third season now (a 150kg load on a tandem).

I have G1800 DT Swiss with 25 mm internal width with 45 mm tyres and Fulcrum DB4 with 34 mm depth, 20 internal with 35 mm semislicks for those faster rides. Both sets I consider Budget at around 250-350 euros.

Nice review. i wanted to ask you - I have the Marin DSX1 Gravel Bike. It runs the 11-51 Sunrace cassette (Deore 5100) Derailur. I'd also need the spacer too yes? I'm looking at these or the 1600 as my stock ones are cooked. (well.. I hit a gutter so its my fault LOL)
@LoveMTB
@LoveMTB 11 месяцев назад
Spacer is only neded whrn using MTB cassettes on a ROAD freehub. Is that wat you have?

Hi buddy...I just need your opinion. I came across used set of 2021 m1900 wheel set with 240hubs for $650. Is that a good deal or is it better to buy a new set of M1900 with the 370hubs?

Why do you need that 1.85 mm spacer? Isn’t that for 9 or 10 speed?
@romanpramuka2703
@romanpramuka2703 Год назад
11 speed road cassette is wider than 11 speed MTB cassette, and these wheels comes with 11 speed road freehub, so you need this spacer to compensate width difference.

is it, being a sleeved rim, a bad thing? i usually bike on rowdier gravel trails-- chunky rocks, small drops, etc.

For 500 bucks i would get the 1400g china carbon set. These are a lil heavy for even xc . Unless i found them for 250 , or 300 max. But then would pay the 200 difference to get the 1400gram set.

I’m actually running a pair of DT Swiss G1800 spline wheels on my Trek Domane fitted with 30mm road tyres fir my winter set up, I’m really surprised how good these wheels are, on climbs they are a little slower because of the weight but other than that the bike rides as well as it dies with my Zipp 303 Firecrest carbon wheels!

Agre, great wheels we've beat them up quite a bit so far, holding very well.
