Hey trinity, for the 2 card combo with lotus and access to spirit gates I've actually discovered a line that allows you to end on a 3 material Apollousa. A little bit more fragile to board breakers but I think it's worth going for because the end board makes 8 interruptions. Everything is the same to make Yama on 5th summon and phantom as the 6th, then you use spirit gates dropping the extra spirit gates/beckoning beast in your hand to reborn spirit of yubel. Sharvara pop spirit to summon itself + yubel -> link sharvara and yama into rage and set chamber, activate grave squirmer to special summon and pop yubel -> trigger yubel to summon terror incarnate and Yama in grave to reborn spirit -> link terror incarnate, grave squirmer, and soul of rage into Apollousa -> use grave squirmer in the graveyard to reborn yubel -> overlay into Varudras. So the end board would be 3 material Apollousa, Varudras, phantom of yubel, with soul of rage in the grave and chamber on field for 8 total interruptions.
yep i know that combo! i go for it in match ups where i know princess isnt good :) its just that the normal endboard with princess is often times good enough to win if you can play your combo through so i prefer the ''Security'' against boardbreakers! but thank you for showing the combo in case someone who doesnt knew it, sees it :)
I have most of the yubel stuff, and I got it relatively cheap compared to now. Only thing I’m missing is the phantoms. Hopefully the price goes down since snake eyes won’t be hit for a bit longer and that prevents many decks from existing in the meta
Honestly run superpoly by removing the princess package Is really good, i saw people doing their combo and then die Just for that card, It makes the deck really good even of it's budget and if you want you can run a loving Defender (then you can remove anything you to use superpoly but you have to play Garura and mudragon at least)
i really like spoly and if youre not planning to go to big events, i think its good to run it! (its very good against rogue decks) my problem is, that its really ineffective in the current meta but other than that - its good!
@@TrinityYGO The funny thing is that other decks could choose to run Loving Defender as a Super Poly target now that decks like Branded run a Phantom package. So Branded could theoretically boardwipe us if we're not careful.
Love the approach and love it when a competitive player understands that not everyone can or wants to expend 500-700$ on a deck. So thank you for that. What you think about prosperity i know is getting kind of expensive again, but not like once was. And it's S:P getting reprint? I don't know... PS: a lot of people saying the deck isn't budget, guys that's what a budget competitive deck looks like, unfortunately this is a very expensive game. I think what Trinity brought is really valid and a real option.

i remember commenting a couple days ago asking if u really need the second phantom, cause i honestly want to play yubel, ive loved yubel ever since i was a kid watching gx and i really loved hearing its getting support and the full power yubel with fiendsmith is so nice, but when i heard it was gonna be a secret i was so crushed (and still am if im being honest). i remember reading a thread on twitter of someone saying how much they love yugioh and they really wanna play and even compete, and that rogue decks can only give you so much fun and that you wanna play well and compete at some point but the barrier of entry is so large and thats how i felt when i saw the phantom prices and fiendsmith. I wanna play this deck i really love at full power but without a job right now its so hard to get into it and its getting tiring seeing Konami never change. But man this video gave me almost a sense of relief. I felt like i can still play the deck and maybe even compete even if i dont have full power out the gate. Thanks for this man, I needed it more than you could know.

- I wanted to give some tips since I'm used to playing with budget decks in both YGO and MTG, rarely spending more than $50 on a deck ignoring cards I already own, since I don't like spending money (though I have spend about $100 on this deck so far, mostly from Thone even though I snagged at it's lowest). But Trinity covered basically everything I was going to say, even Set Rotation and Chicken Game for Throne replacements, which shouldn't surprise me since Trinity probably one of the best TCG Yubel players out there. Though the Super Poly variant or package are still viable options, even if it's a little worse than the fiend link version, it's still a lot of fun. - A fun card is also Eternal Favorite, probably best with the Fusion but you can honestly still play it without Loving Defender and "just" use it as a Monster Reborn *every turn.* I also just personally like a 2nd search target off of Spirit incase I draw Pain or get it's effect off turning my opponent's turn. If the extra deck wasn't so tight I'd say this should be ran in the deck anyways personally. - I think the main deck is more important than the extra to anyone planning to slowly build up the deck, with Yama probably being the only expensive card needed in the extra deck, about $30 right now which is a lot. The deck can play fine without Phantom, just don't expect it to be considered a "tiered" deck. I think a good pilot can bring Phantomless Yubel to tier 2 (but that's just my opinion). Phantom is better than Yama, but Yama also about half the price and needed to play the other unchained stuff. I'd put Yama above Phantom on a priority list, but I can see an argument for the opposite. Varudras is also pretty expensive at about $15, but Yama and Phantom are more important. I don't know if I'd say Princesses is more important or not than Varudras, I'm going to say Varudras because Princesses is probably best with Varudras, while you can play Varudras without Princesses, you'll just be summoning him a lot less frequently than you might think you will without Princesses. If you don't play Princesses, your end boards are probably going to be a lot of Gryphons TBH. - Pot of Prosp is a decent option, since you're unlikely to be playing as good or full of an extra deck. I forgot this was a "budget" option honestly since last time I wanted to run it in a deck I nicknamed the card Pot of $40, now it's like $5-ish I think. (Still pricey for a "budget" card.) Some not great but other main deck cards in place of Throne. - Foolish Burial. Dump Lotus or Spirit and use the Dark Beckoning Beast stuff to bring out Muckracker or use Gate to reborn Lotus. Gate would be preferred since it doesn't lock you into fiends for the turn or take away a valuable combo or mid/late game piece, but remember Muckracker is there too incase you don't actually have a way to Gate. Could also be used to dump Squirmier to special out a 0/0 like Spirit from hand, or vise versa. Like a worse/more limiting Throne's dump/deck pop effect, that's only effective with Gate or Squirmier/Spirit. - I'll also mention because, why not, Small World (w/ Mature Chronicle), it's an okay searcher for the deck and you can benefit from Chronicle to search out/add back one of the cards you banished facedown. The problem with Small World is that it's basically a worse One for One, which if either of those are your starter you basically have 1 less card in hand due to the discard cost, banishing the monster from hand facedown instead of to the grave, limited searching which encourages you to play 2 ofs of several handtraps or stuff like Lava Golem instead of full playsets of the best handtraps, and it adds to hand instead of special summons. The only benefit is that you can also "search" for a handtrap with Chronicle, banishing rando from hand, Ash Ogre or something else from deck, Lotus to hand, Mature Chronicle to add back either the rando or the handtrap. I would only say to go for this if you have 0-1 copies of Throne. And as much as I dislike Map, it's better than Small World for the deck. You can tell I'm not fond of this, but I would be ignoring an option to some players if I didn't mention it. I thought at while back Small World would be awesome in Yubel especially with Chronicle. But as time goes I like Chronicle's first effect to revive Yubel the most more and more. - Personally, my main deck is practically identical to Trinity's normal deck, but my extra deck looks/is going to look very close to the budget version, mainly eventually 2 Phantoms in comparison to my current 0. Phantomless Yubel is still something to be reckoned with, without SP, Princesses, and for a little while without Varudras or Accesscode I've been going 3-1 at my locals regularly (which has a lot of good players, but admittedly most of the really good ones are taking a break with the current state of YGO), while making so many simple/stupid mistakes... if anyone has any tips to remember Shivara's search for Chamber trigger please let me know. I forget it. almost. every. single. damn. game. Not kidding, I think last time at locals I remembered 2 games. Not matches. 2 games out of my 4 matches, 2/11 games I played where I did the combo line in almost all of them. (2-1, 2-1, 1-2, 2-0). I'll be happy to hear any tips to remember my triggers. I'm good with the deck (as strange as it sounds forgetting Shivara all the time) and it fits my playstyle almost perfectly (just no main deck way to beat stun going second with all our monsters having 0 attack), I just can't remember my dang triggers, namely Shivara. It might be what I'm worst at in all TCG's. Was not expecting to write an essay, or ask for advice on remembering triggers that don't happen in start/end of phases.
I do have some ideas that i used on the past. Like a small thunderdragon engine for colossus. Using only the dragondark and hawk. Fusion deployment with the yubel fusion with neos just to special summon yubel, Super polys with the targets too
I am always thankful for your videos. I saw in one of the your first videos that you played Cross-Sheep, therefore i wonder if it is still good in case of interruptions or if it is just a win more card?
I recently added foolish burial in the deck and it comes in handy quite often. I do reccomend that u add it into the deck list. Either u revive with spirit gates what u send or use it as material for phantom

Piri reis felt so bad tho when I actually played with it in an event as a budget option because I got burned for the rest of my life points in 3 separate matches.
I sell some cards that i don't need to buy me a deck, and i can give you an advice, if you buy the cards when they released are sometimes cheaper, when no one Knows how good a deck becomes. I buyed the Knightmare Thrones a weak after release. But 20€ or bucks can be for much people very expensive either.
The thing Im confused about most with Princess Yubel that mucks up my plays is what is the actual point of Duelittle other than to break fire lock? Seems like a completely useless card that would be better replaced by pretty much any other fire link, so what's it's actual use over something like Amblowhale or Hiita that have actually useable effects for the same cost? I feel like Im messing up somewhere because I never feel like I get anything impressive out of it, and sometimes find that I end with less presence on board after finishing with duelittle instead of an unchained dog.
@@AverageInternetCitizen but you still have access to the unchained dog! It’s just in the GY. It’s not a good thing to have a lot of presence on the board (if you instead can "layer“ it) The current Yubel deck is very fragile to droplet/dark ruler and even sometimes Superpoly if you end on an unchained dog. Duelittle is there to add back sharvara. If you dont do this and the opponent clears everything besides the princess, you can’t get rid of the fire lock. It’s to safe important space in the ED
@@TrinityYGO I was mainly thinking about Rage and Anguish, not really sure what to do with those I guess because making them seems to cost a lot compared to just having the Duelittle Varudras Phantom end board, where do they fit into things? And is Duelittle just a layer of redundancy over Chamber? If your board gets wiped you won't necessarily have a target for Sharvara when in hand I don't think, so what's the deal with activating chamber VS adding to hand with Duelittle? I guess I'm mainly confused by side line options like anguish and muckraker, feels like I never pick the right times to go into those plays. I understand the end board of 3 from the basic combo, but not really sure when I should go for something different or do it in a different way/how to do it in a different way. I guess my brain falls apart after turn one, or before turn one if I have to go into some alternate line or rely on graveyard effects like Yama to do things you don't have to do every time. I'm a pretty much exclusively a Lightsworn player since 2009, so I've never had to focus so much on rigid lines or things you can do consistently on demand. I became really good at reacting to RNGesus and coming up with unique lines almost every game as one has to do with Lightsworns, so combos and side lines that stay the same are pretty foreign feeling. I find myself going down routes that aren't the main one card combo and getting lost or messing up without even knowing where I went wrong to miss the end result I was trying to get, or not even knowing what end result to try for in the first place, especially going second in modern yugioh, I haven't played in a while.
@@AverageInternetCitizen it’s okay my friend! The deck is not an easy one so it’s understandable if it’s a bit confusing! You know, you only make anguish going second and you try to always include rage going first! (That’s why you then reborn it with chamber! The chimera has nothing to do with that interaction :). ) If you watch the normal combo, you will always see rage! So with chamber you don’t reborn sharvara, always reborn the blue dog, duelittle will add sharvara! The only times where you don’t care about rage, is against a deck that doesn’t really special summon that much! Muckraker is there if your samsara gets impermed and you have to reborn it! That sometimes comes up. Other than that, muckraker can help you to make the gryphon!
@@TrinityYGO Thanks, I get a little confused with all the changes the deck underwent the past few months and is still going through. I get confused learning combos and which ones are still relevant and/or new when the deck list isn't the same.
Yes for cheap deck I would cut of phantom of yubel because there are more people buying the packs so you just have to wait. Also all side cards they are not necesery what I would do is remove Veiler also the rabbit and one gruesome you could add max C instead but I understeand thetis expensive I played the extra deck and I have to say that you can suerly win without xyz monsters and from rightside of extra deck two monsters also without unicorns and phoenix but I would still add 1 nightmer throne and internal favour.
With all honesty if you’re on a budget just play a different deck. There’s better options at lower price points than playing a scuffed version of a good deck and if you were a budget player interested in the deck you likely had Nightmare Thrones already
from a competetive stand point.. youre right. if you really want to win on a budget, it would probably better to look at decks like purrely but i get a lot of messages, asking me what they can do to cut down the price. some people really cant afford to spend 100-120 for 2 phantoms for example. or they were on a yugioh break, came back and they are a big fan of yubel and then see thrones. there are multiple scenarios so i tried my best to cover it while the deck still feels similar. i think a lot of people just want to play yubel because simply.. they like it. its just sad for them that yubel is very strong so it gets the meta tax
@@nubbs1231 I think if you have to use it turn 1, the best bet is to try to get samsara on the field in combination with any Yubel monster. The problem is that you can only recycle it in the following turn!
phantom being a secret is a dam scam. what a crap first printing being a secret. specially being printed in a trash box with little to no chase cards. i have the money but i aint spending it. just normalize proxying cause seriously this is inexcusable. yubel deck use to be cheap but not having thrones or phantoms really neuters the deck. its not bad but its really not as good as 2 phantom and 3 throne. glad i picked up my thrones for 28$ its a shame its nearly doubled in price.
yeh im happy i got my playset of thrones for $30 a week before phantom was confirmed for BLTR. As of writing, I may be able to afford 1 phantom at most, definitely not a 2nd one. Throughout the combo, do we actually use the 2nd one?
@@zakomama6430 yes its a really important to have two as you can cycle then back and forth by shuffling the first one you used back into the extra deck to make the second one.
@@zakomama6430 just get any yubel monster + 0/0 fiend monster in the hand field or grave to contact into it. then from there it tributes its self as cost to change a monsters effect. the combo still works just fine with one, but you want two at least for staying power, as phantom of yubel is a "yubel" monster and can be used to summon another phantom of yubel.
This deck can’t be budget because throne is mandatory. You don’t need phantom but you 100% need thrones. If anything, prosperity should be 100% mandatory if you’re playing less thrones and phantoms. One for one is ass in this deck.
i dont agree with one for one being ass in the deck. its a good card, especially if you can discard something you can later on use in many ways (for example material to go into Phantom, something to revive with opening etc.) - that will probably change with fiendsmith. and yes, i agree - with terraforming and set rotation you still do have 3 chances of opening it! Prosperity is good too but needs a lot of luck since you cant really go for 6 : reis map just gives you something you will 100% have a use for! thanks for your input
throne was $20 around legacy of destruction relase 2 would have been good enough plus a terraforming the expensive cards are the phantom of yubels the deck is pretty cheap enough its the fiendsmith cards that are truely expensive
@@davnez05 it’s not one of the most expensive decks but it’s still costly. You have to keep in mind that maybe some people haven’t bought them back when they released or want to switch over to Yubel from another deck!
