Operation: Let's Do This gambles with his hard earned cash once again, and this time the stakes are even higher! For the last 18 months, the ephemeral BudK Box has lost it's luster in the eyes of the unboxing community. Has the passage of time sweetened the wine, or has the sword-berry withered on the vine? Let us hope that the Scratch and Dent Mystery Box will burst forth, flaming from the ashes like the phoenix of old!

@@OperationLetsDoThis an idea for doing a makeover with the blue fury sword set is attempting to attach the throwing knives it came with to it to try and give it a sharpened cross guard

Great video! I ended up buying one after I saw your last video, got one set of crappy 20$ sword set, a 3 piece set that is just for looks, a really nice shinwa one that had like a brownish/reddish blade that came in a box, and then a 5 or 6 ft naginata type sword. I was very happy with it!

Thanks! The apron is just an ordinary leather welding apron, but I added the straps myself (old belts) and the front pocket was made a friend. Sorry it's one-of-a-kind! Thanks for the compliments and thanks for watching!

Paul Chen is has been around a long time and they mainly make intermediate quality swords for live practice. Even their low end swords are fine for medium level targets. I don't think BudK even carries Paul Chen blades.

Are the katanas sharp?

These ones were "very" sharp, but definitely not razor sharp. The steel is good, so with some work they can get there though! Thanks for watching!

Every Shinwa sword I have bought comes sharp. They are predominantly made from cheaper steel with an acid etched hamon line. Awesome beginner sword for LIGHT cutting. The Sokojikara sword has a real differently tempered T-10 tool steel blade. I will be doing a review on my first sword from that company soon. Very good question since I have bought higher end competition blades that weren't sharp.
