Operation Let's Do This unboxes a BudK Scratch-and-Dent sword mystery box! How much sword can $40 buy? Tune in and see! Music Enceladus by CO.AG Music / coag-music-14633978590...
Thanks! I will warn you though that it seems the mystery boxes have gone downhill in quality lately, mostly giving out the cheaper overstock items. That's what other youtubers have said anyway. Thanks for watching, and stay tuned, I have another video on the way!
I know, right? I actually got a second box a few months after this video and they gave me another honshu katana! Apparently BUDK wised up and stopped giving out the good stuff though, the boxes suck now. Oh well, thanks for watching!
That's so crazy. so many boxes posted to youtube lately are so much not as good as this one. you got two good swords, one good sharpening practice, and something you can easily sell on craigslist for 10$. I ordered a scratch and dent today and I don't even hope to get such a good box. the boshin are super attractive.
I oiled the blades with mineral oil right after I was done shooting the video, but I re-checked them after I read your comment just to be sure! They're still looking good! Thanks for watching!
yep. i do my swords i dont even use once a year. i have 30 katana. and 30 or so fixed blade huge rambo style knives. i am the only guy on youtube who is on a horse in real samurai armor in the mountains training from usa.
i also live in the national forest. deep in the mountains on a huge volcano in a tiny village of 150 of us. tons of water stored. ammo. guns. i have vids doing mag drills in gas mask and full gear in the forest. archery. guns. combat martial arts. army mre cases. gas masks. usa dept of defense pandemic kits. first aid and and certified in it and meds and on and on. i love to be ready. 4 months food stored etc. etc. i love making videos showing these skills etc
Dude, don't mess with the white "scabbard". It's meant only for storage. A shirasaya (白鞘), "white scabbard", is a plain wooden Japanese sword saya (scabbard) and tsuka (hilt), traditionally made of nurizaya wood and used when a blade was not expected to see use for some time and needed to be stored.
I find the Shinwa products to be of decent quality, but I'm no expert. You're right though, BudK is definitely a low-budget source! Thanks for watching!
BudK offers the scratch-and-dent mystery boxes, but they're not always available. If you go to their website and look at the category "cool stuff", you'll find the link to the boxes. Thanks for watching!
I wasn't going to, but now that I look at it that may be a fun idea! I could completely re-finish the handle and sheath too! Thanks for the idea, and thanks for watching!
Nice video. I'd say you made out like a bandit. Just the Musashi and Honshu swords though. Those others are terrible. I'd eBay those sons of bitches for dirt cheap.
@@OperationLetsDoThis I just received my first "Scratch and Dent" Mystery Sword from BUDK for about $40. They sent me a Black Legion Red Ninja Sword brand new. It's so garbage that I don't even know what to do with it. I'm pissed. It's blatant false-advertising.
