I first saw the Clydesdales in a parade in Ottumwa, Iowa. This was about 65 years ago. I was so fascinated by them then and I am still. What an amazing trip I had a few years ago to the farm in Boonsville Missouri. I got to have my picture taken with one of the parade horses. What an awesome experience!!!! Love these horses and the videos of them.
Back in the 70's I went to Disney World. We camped on the little island and had to take a ferry over to the Kingdom area. We found out that the Clydesdales were kept on the island and went to see them. There were signs everywhere to keep out. My friend and I went up to the fence to get a closer look at the Clydesdales in the barn. We were horse owners and really appreciated the care that they horses got. One of the handlers saw us and said it was okay to take a look. Boy, talk about well taken care of and having everything good in life. They were beautiful! They looked so healthy and happy!
So cool when they do stopovers on the road and stay at family farms. Can’t imagine seeing those trucks coming down the road and unloading these gorgeous animals!
That dog is so cute I love those horses and glad they take good care of them there is a Budweiser brewery in Columbus Ohio they pay pretty good if you can get a job there
The Clydesdales make the super bowl worth watching especially with the Dalmation dogs and the other dogs. That's the only reason I watch the Super bowl is to see the Clydesdale commerals!.
each one, during the hitch, is mouthing and waiting for the hitch bit to get set ...eager to get ready, eager to get set, and eager to go ! hardly a foot moves, ears up and Ready to shine !
My only complaint is the bearing rein. It forces their heads to remain in an upright position, its why they toss their heads so much. It causes pain when they pull , not allowing the horses to put their heads down in a natural pulling position.
Is it absolutely necessary to use the “f” word or any other foul-mouthed curse word to express your feelings? Surely you know some less offensive language.
Linda Durham Dear fake account...why yes, I know many words, but I especially like the word ‘Fuck.’ It doesn’t offend me. If it offends you, just stop visiting my channel and go about your life. Have a fan-fucking-tastic day! 😁
@@chandrasmith1056 until fully hitched the bit isn't in their mouth....it's the curve piece ( by their lips) in front, they know it's there and are mouthing it because they are ready and set to go! that's a ton oh hardware and reins to co ordinate. The fact that those horses stand pat and hardly move during the whole proceedure while having a loud speaker and huge crowd around really speaks to their training and willingness .
All the horses seem to wrestle with bit in their mouth. Can anyone assure its not detrimental to them? I can't imagine they'd do anything to these beautiful beats that wasn't great!
NOTHING they do to these horses could or would hurt them. My guess is that there might be some type of taste on the bit to help them accept it. I've been to the Merrimack, NH stables more than once, and I know how spoiled they are.
I love these horses......they are stunningly beautiful!! Why do they keep moving their mouths? I'm assuming it bothers them? Also, I see them tossing heads up, side to side, etc when all the gear is on them. It's not too bad right now......in another video after they were done working. They were all tossing their heads....all over. Hopefully it doesn't bother the horses.....as much as it bothers me. Love the dalmation too!
@Black Panther The Dalmatian is “Barely”. He goes wherever they go. Also, I agree with you... it bothers me when they are moving their mouths and tossing their heads. You know it has to really hurt them after 4 hours. 😟
The gential giants love bud horses gorgious only nicer team is hallamore co clydestales they have one team and their more hand piced to match perfect sad this year they heveny ben shown
sandra sorice 🔻I assure you they are treated like the Kings they are. I wondered the same thing and started researching, They have better lives than most humans. Each horse has a 3 person team assigned to them.
Sandra, you’re an idiot. Do some research. Budweiser has an open door policy to all it horse facilities and they are far away better treated, feed and care for then 99% of the horse’s on the world.
Well, I can say that I really don't like seaworld! I don't like the horses tossing their heads around with the bit, it makes me feel really bad for them.
D in DC the bits are a necessity when they are pulling the wagon. this is how the drivers control these big guys and that wagon could easily become a weapon hurting spectators, the drivers and the horses. the wagon weighs 12 tons and handling the team requires quite a bit of strength and skill. The 40 pounds of reins the driver holds, plus the tension of the reins, equals 75 pounds. the bits are in during the performance only.
Bits are just like a steering wheel on a car...anyone who thinks that bits are not for horses has no understanding of horses and their uses. These horses are super well cared for and if they were being hurt they wouldn’t behave or act as well mannered as they are.
The bit is always used and always has been. It does aid in controlling them. These magnificent horses are treated very well and you can tell by how well they behave. They are always around people except when being transported even as they are growing up.
