Well, that depends. Per TM1517, the charge pump pressure should be between 924 and 1066 PSI. I have found that is adequate pressure for the BB loader. Raising the pressure will improve it lift capacity, but my opinion is that is not necessary. Raising the IRV pressure is fairly simple. Most owners who find this necessary have a 40 JD loader which has a limited lift capacity due to the smaller hydraulic cylinders.
Because of extreme steel price increases and availability, Covid problems and Pete's health issues, the production of this loader will end. I would be willing to provide technical specifications and assistance to a qualified equipment manufacturer.
Unfortunate to hear. I just bought a JD 318 that has a buford bucket on it. The bucket is only a couple years old. It sure is handy. I might just try to duplicate it for another jd 318 I have.
