Too late for me to spray my apples and pears now. Will physical barrier methods like bagging in paper or organza bags work for coddling moths and apple maggots? Great video, I’ll save it for future reference.
Thank you for these! Have you shared info for peaches / plums ? Nearly all of my peaches have had little worm-like things and brown dusting (maybe twig borers?) and rot :( So disappointing. Will the same insect sprays work?
@Alisorganics do you mean just before the show color and again just before ripening? I considering planting 1 apple and 1 peach tree. And I was afraid I won't be able to keep up with it. But you make it sound fairly simple. Just 2 trees 🙄😁

Apples will fall if they have worms. They will also drop to thin naturally, known as June drop. I have to spray in my area every two to three weeks after the petals drop till a month before harvest. I use spinosad.
Thanks a lot for the informative video! We have bad problem with leaves in our apple tree right now. Yellow paches, holes. Safer's organic soap spray can be used on flowers. Can it be used on apple tree when it's flowering? Thanks a lot)))
It’s best not to spray anything while flowering. Even though the Safer insecticidal soap is “safe” it can weaken bees and the spray can interrupt the pollination process. But you can spray as soon as those petals drop! I hope that helps! Thank you 😊

You can place a bag over the fruit after pollination occurs. It works good if your tree is small. It's a lot of work. We have 6 apple trees and spraying is more time efficient for me.
Can I use the spinosad only when the temps are high (like in the 90-100)? My Apple are getting attacked and I know they need something but now it’s hot here. :(
