This movie is my childhood. Can't even count the amount of times I have watched it. Have watched it countless times with my father and laughed like crazy. It's the only movie I always keep in my phone. It's a comfort movie for me.❤️
This is a Cantonese comedy classic. I have watched it numerous times ... it remains great. Should you understand the Cantonese dialogue; you will be rolling on the floor with laughter. It is 10/10
there was so.much poetry, embodied so much.of the inherently diverse chinese heritage, the.fake kungfu myths driving the energy of children to believe despite all odds. that movie touched my.heart
It's so good that there are more ppl who had this movie in the history of it's childhood, I feel so happy to know I share moments with others like that
The title should be - Gangsters messed up with the wrong hood and got kung-fued. I literally watched this movie more than 50 times and almost watch clips whenever I get recommend and never gets bored. Even my family also loves it very much. This movie was a masterpiece.
"In the world of Kung Fu, speed determines the winner" that quote by Beast as he catches the bullet with his fingers is one of the most iconic quotes of all time....
Anyone who haven't watch this movie yet is missing out on something so great and epic that will never be made again. Love every Stephen Chow movies including Shaolin Soccer.
Kungfu hustle is actually one of the most icon Asian action-comedy flick of all time. They really put alot of work into it and damn, it aged really really well.
This is one of the few movies I've bought several times, and every time I loan it out, it never is returned, and once I see it on display, I buy it again. I highly recommend it because it's definitely a Kung fu classic
Considering how many Adam Sandler's movies have come out. I would have much preferred the Kung Fu franchise to make more movies as well. This one was probably the best one
Wrong explanation 11:31. Brother Sum ordered Sing to hit both the Landlady and Landlord in order to help Mr Beast (Not order him to hit Mr Beast nor seeing Mr Beast as a threat.) But Sing's conscience made him do the opposite.
@@Michiho. Yes . Not only that...The beast just accepted defeat because Sing is willing to teach him the Buddha's palm art without fearing he will usurp Sing.. meaning even if both have the same kungfu.. Sing know he will be able to win Beast. Beast did not say he accepted Sing to be his master.
This movie has a special place in my heart. My dad showed me and my best friend this movie when we were 12. Now turning 24 this year and I'm still laughing about this movie until the day. I recommend for anyone!
When i was a child, I was actually waiting for them to release all the other kungfu hustle version like the god sword technique etc just to find out that it's just a prologue that'll never become a reality 😭
I was 8 when i first watched this movie, now i'm in my mid 20's. The nolstagia i'm feeling right now. This movie and a whole lot more by Stephen Chow made my childhood. Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Bruce Lee and a whole lot more were like my drug back then. This was where my love for asians started 😁. I'd have to give it another watch after seeing this recap. I basically watched almost all of Stephen Chow's movies back then i swear 😂. The midnight dedication 😅, lights turned off, volume down and me sitting right where i could see and here any sign off movement so i could turn off the TV and pretend i'm just there thinking while sitting.
Talk about memories..my dad has this giant booklet with "blank" CD's and KUNGFU HUSTLE was written in sharpie. Watched it every road trip and wondered why no sequel
This movie is absolutely fantastic and will leave you with a stamp of nostalgia you will carry with you for the rest of your life. You will not see another movie with this much action and comedy with such a morally satisfying ending to boot.
This was WAYYY more entertaining than I expected 🤣. I love these recap channels so much! Haven't seen a movie in YEARS that I hadn't seen a million times over. These channels are amazing
Such a great movie. Watched this movie so many times on Cinemax back in the day. Even my brothers are fans of this movie even if they dont like reading subtitles.
I love this movie. I grew up watching martial arts movie back in the 70’s and early 80’s. For those who didn’t know the landlord’s husband was a stunt double for Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. I read he was the one doing the backflips in that film.
@@Macky1101 Close resemblance, but they aren’t the same person. Mr Yeung always had a unique style of fighting and I watched a lot of his movies as a kid. I was upset as a kid, because I wanted Bruce Lee to fight Bolo in Enter the Dragon then John Saxon 😅
Every Chinese millennial, gen z (me) will know this is one of the best childhood movies ever. This brings back so many good memories. All Stephen Chow movies before Kung Fu hustle is fking legendary. I love the poetry one and the beggar king and shaolin soccer. Legend! The new ones are average compared to the OG movies.
One of my fav scene is when Fong the ice cream seller showed the lollipop in which Steven Chow realized it. And at that moment his character changed drastically like 'What have I been doing up until now?'
Same for me, a couple of years ago before netflix really got popular I wanted to find this movie sooo bad, luckily they put it back on Netflix around 2016-2018 I cried when I found it. First time I watched it was around 2006
I remember watching this back in the day. Great movie, watched many times. The fight scenes were great. If you enjoyed this one, you may want to try out Shaolin Soccer, which is produced by the same team responsible for Kung Fu Hustle.
love kun fu hustle.... i almost did a report on this movie in HS. ended up doing Kung pow enter the fist. *FOR THE REASON OF IT BEING SHOT OVER AN OLD FLICK.*
I’ve taken many years of martial arts. As I got older I grew to understand it wasn’t really as useful as they make you think. That being said it does teach you how to block. And when you learn all those blocks and they become muscle memory, the results can be pretty cool. People are always mesmerized when they play fight with me and I block all their fast punches like a freaking anime character. Though if those punches were full strength, it would probably just break my wrists. Lol
i was actually thinking about this movie a lot recently. same with the other one with the pale kid. all films i've watched when i was like 4 years old or something like that, hopefully i can rewatch them soon
Something I think should be mentioned is that during the final battle the landlords watching mentioned their son wanted to become a doctor or lawyer, implying that Sing is their child
I f-ing love Kung Fu hustle! The recap was great, though at the same time I feel like if this movie's recap was great, how awesome must some of these other movies be that you cover?
I've just rewatched the movie again, after 7 years, I could watch this movie religiously on a daily basis and not get bored of it, and I just realized why I didn't for so long, seeing the 3 masters pop into action and remembering their fates soon after made me cry, the way kids cried when Bamby's mom died. Because yes this movie is a comedy, but it also does serious moments well and trust you me you do end up caring about each of the heroes! But you also feel vary happy when you see the ending !
OMG I REMEMBER THIS MOVIE I USED YOU WATCH THIS WITH MY FAMILY WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I NEVER REALLY NEW WHAT THEY WERE SAID BUT I WAS IN LOVE WITH THE ACTION AND FUNNY CLIPS THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME OF THIS MOVIE I GOT TO REMIND MY FAMILY OF THIS MOVIE 😂
