Nice conversion except for the omission of the twin props on the rear. The M4s in the first waves were DD’s ( Duplex Drive) and were equipped wit two props to propel them in the water. The DD’s swam, they did not ford i.e. drive on the seabed. Since you show the model with the gun mantel covered, which also covers the main gun’s sights and coax, I assume it is depicted has just pulling out of the water. In that case you should show the tall skirt that was raised around the hull to provide the buoyancy required to swim. The skirt could be quickly lowered but wouldn’t be removed until combat conditions allowed. You appear to have done significant research, I’m surprised that you missed these details. Best wishes, Ed
