Blake, great production work. Excellent and skillful use of tooling and design. I want to thank you for your service to your community outside of RU-vid, as a fire fighter. I have many first responder's in my family and I'm always aware of the hard work and dedication you all put into your work. Much aligned with how I believe you perform your wood working. I really enjoy watching you work and the creativity of your projects. On a side note, I find myself constantly looking in the background at your amazing shop. I pause the video's to analyze and take inspiration for my one car garage workshop. You definitely have a fan in me. All the best Blake!
Your woodworking is professional, I like that. Your background music is perfect for watching a woodworking video, I love that. Many woodworking sites have good woodworking skills. But their choice of music runs me away. And I usually don't go back. Thank you for sharing your skills and especially your choice of music.
I appreciate that, the thing about any background music is that people either love it or hate it. I get comments both ways but mostly in the positive :)
Another excellent quality video. The lighting in your shots is fantastic! Do you set up additional spot lights or does all of the light come from the normal lights in the ceiling?
i love watching woodworking on youtube, but it bugs the hell out of me when guys use tropical hardwoods in their projects, that bubinga slab at the store is better left where it grew, use native hardwoods ya goofs
the green man I’m not sure if you are referring to my project or other people but I used Maple, which is a domestic hardwood. I agree though, I’ve mostly moved away from imported lumber for many reasons.
no i was referencing the large slab of tropical hardwood at the timber merchants, every other youtube woodworkers seems to use purpleheart, bubinga etc, its irresponsible when native hardwoods are just as beautiful.
You have a great channel. What type of stand do you have your drum sander on? I have a similar size shop and am looking to replicate a tucked away drum sander. Thanks. Ty.
