I have IBS TM and it can be a right pain but like you said high quality foods can make the world of difference! Fasting, long walks, cardio, peppermint tea, meal timings and a meal plan are what gets me at my best! Stay strong!

Tom doesn't have IBS he has Ulcerative Colitis which is far much dangerous to his health that can lead to Tom having a Colostomy bag in the future. What Tom needs to do is eat the foods that doesn't aggravate his symptoms and stick to that everyday. I've watched Tom Cook five different meals a day, that is not going to help his UC. I'm positive all the ingredients he's using to make the food palatable ( Taste nice ) is upsetting his stomach.

@@gambrydew2059 I never said he did have ibs? I was just talking about my experience and the things that helped me in the hope someone reads it and it happens to help them if they are suffering from any sort of stomach discomfort/issues.

This is a great wee study TM. Really cements the fact these 7000cal bulking phases are absolutely pointless unless you're an absolute monster... for the average person 3000 odd is plenty enough will rake this info into my next gaining phase for sure

Im almost sure that the UC was caused by those supplements. Flavors, substances. It could be an infection if Tom was batting for the same team but he is a straight shooter. I believe if no irreversible damage has been done to the intestinal walls, following a very clean diet can eventually lead to healing. Great video as always and great physique.

Great content as always! I think a cool follow up video (especially with the current climate) would be how to go about setting your diet up for the day based on a budget food shop and ideal digestion? Would love to know how you'd help clients optimise digestion without spending a fortune!

Used to have issues with ibs myself mate can confirm switching from processed shite to whole food works. No issues at all now

Enjoyed this video very infromative. What are your thoughts on minicuts tom? Thinking about a solid 4 week one for january. Maybe an 750 cal defecit plenty probably add 2x circuits a week. Ontop of PPL in 3 sessions per week Then re calculate calories and try astrict lean gain phase for another 6 month.

This is what a decent gain phase looks like for a natural with good knowledge... I'll say this once and once only. most people are eating too much food and of the wrong kind. Proof right here: if Tom was eating more he wouldnt gain more muscle, but more fat. Stop intaking any food/liquids that are not naturally sourced: protein powders, pre-workouts, energy drinks.. they are all junk fellas. On the other hand, most people are not training with the right mindset or right training program with the correct intensity and technique to provide stimulus to grow.

Great informative video as always pal. Do you ever think the digestion could of come from covid or the vaccine? I've never had GI issues in my life, but now at only 27 my GI is very up and down and spoke to a handful of people in the same boat since covid. Who knows.. hope you get it under control anyway boss, I know how shit it is to fester on it.

Tom quick question, I train at 6am currently fasted due to the time of the workout. Would you recommend this or would it be preferable to in take calories before hand? Once again great video 🙌🏼

As long as you can still perform fasted then it's fine. I've spent many years doing it both ways and I don't notice a difference for me. Just get a solid post workout asap and id recommend EAA intra and possibly even some carbs too.

Hi Tom u got an email I'm currently in hospital due to being 6 stone my ocd that started from training to giving up food due illness to bad gums lead me to spend 6 days in intesive care was 3 days from death due to my heart giving up . I just wanted to share my story as a warning how gym training can lead to eating disorders and other ocd conditions . Being let out in a few days finally eating a meal after years of fear my teeth will fall out . I know I'm a no one but I would like to share my story if u have 2 seconds spare maybe even get back to training some day much love from chris .

Depends if the night out entails food or not, if it's just drink, I'll get all of my food in prior to going out but minus say 800 cals for alcohol
