Are you carrying on this build? Seems to be a non frequent upload. My final issue of the enterprise just showed up, I only started it because I saw your first vid all that time ago. I'd never built a part work before that...
Glad you're getting your packs for this, I'm 3 months over due for pack 5. Really enjoyed working on this so far so disappointing that for whatever reason mine is delayed.
I always like to pop in and see your work, Wayne! That's going to be one beautiful ship! I'm jealous! Lol! Due to income I just can't afford the (if my math is correct) $1428.00 bucks, but if I could I'd be using your vids to build her. Great work!!!
Hi Wayne. Suggest that you add rubber or electrical tape sleaves over those helping hand aligator clips to reduce the chance of scratching the paint on the panels
Fanhome had some shipment issues at the beginning of the year but they look like they've caught up or close to it... probably because some of their shipping came though the Mediterranean
Love the channel. I've watched the Knight Rider series so awesome that I ordered one. They just replaced this kit on the US site for preorder, so I pulled the trigger on that one also. Keep up the great work that you're doing.
Have you received packs 7 and 8? I 'm asking because I'm cataloging the videos by stages. I'm collecting all packs first before I begin assembling the Enterprise D. Waiting a month or longer to receive the next stages is SUPER BORING!!!! I did R2 the same way. So, I get a pack and store it until I have all the stages. I find this to help my mental. I'll go crazy waiting to add the next stages.
@@mikehipperson It's a safety feature on Teslas. If the vehicle catches fire and nobody can use the retractable door handles the panel gaps are there so there's enough room for the crowbar. 😂
This is weird, I got an email from fanhome saying pre-order now for the Enterprise D build to be shipping in June, but your already have this fanhome build and your on pack 6!
FYI, they are taking pre-orders for this in the US again, so looks like stuff is starting to trickle back up. If your viewers are concerned, just wanna let them know, stuff IS coming back. Looks like they got through the Eaglemoss stock and now are getting their own stock of parts.
Hi Wayne. I am thinking about starting the Fanhome Enterprise D but I see alot of videos about the problems, people replacing all the lights, using resin for the windows etc. Is it really that bad? Starting to have second thoughts about the amount of work and time required. Started getting anxiety about it. There are things I am good at but never airbrushed or used resin before. Advice would be appreciated. Are there any of your videos I am missing? I think in one you said about modifying alot. My first shipment will be in July but really starting to think about cancelling. I have always wanted an Enterprise D
In your previous build, you were indicating that you were going to start over with UV activated resin for the windows. That was a lot of rework and I was surprised to hear you say that. Now that you are starting from the beginning on the new kit, what changed your mind on that?
Not by way of any criticism of the assembly, I have been a bit surprised by what appear to be gaps between the panels on the saucer section. Is this my eyesight? or is there more adjustment to be made to remove the gaps (if there are any, as I said it might be my eyes). However, I do enjoy all of the builds on the WoW channel, and try not to miss any.
Yeah I would VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE THAT TOO! I quit the original Eaglemoss build after 3 long awaited shipments after seeing all the light bleeds no matter how carefully the parts were assembled. Wayne is very savvy and seemed to have some good ideas on how to remedy the light bleeds and other issues. Anyone who’s done a lot of modeling will recognize how badly fall out this assembly is. It’s over engineered. We are a much simpler strategy and part configuration. Could’ve both remedied the leaking light issues and reduce the number of wires and parts but clearly they wanted to have as many parts as possible so as to push up the price that’s all I can figure because who would’ve designed it this way with any other reason in mind. Wayne, please share with us what that outcome was you seem to be on to something at first as to how to resolve the issue but now we’re starting all over again and have yet to hear anyone. Tell me that the light leak issue has been resolved in the new design, I mean why bother with all the lights if it looks shitty.
Think there is anyway to shim the panels to lessen the gaps? I was thinking about buying this one, but not sure I’d be happy with the cost of the build. Frame looks pretty sturdy.
@WorldofWayneUK I am starting the charger after watching through your series, I was in the late stages of ecto 1 until the whole eaglemoss fiasco, and I haven't tried to finish it. Been trying to take notes of all the things you find on these builds lol
Great video Wayne! Was there the infamous gap between the cobra head top and cobra head neck top as there was during the Eaglemoss era? Looks like the saucer panels are going on the saucer section a lot better now than before without any gaps.
I'm always amazed at how you can trim down a couple of hours of recording time to within 30-40-minute video, and still make it look like it only too that much time. 👋 So, the only modifications you're going to do is for light bleed? Nothing from Mike Lane?
Any recommendations for the easiest way to remove the magnetic battery box cover? The magnets on mine are so strong its hart to get enough leverage to get the cover off 😆
