Hello calisthenics friends! Today I am sharing with you my calisthenics workout routine designed to build strength for muscle-ups.

Finally got to see the whole video you made on muscle ups. It was very extensive and had a lot of good information, i like how you incorporate the importance of shoulder mobility & wrist strengthening. Good job, keep making videos like this 👏🏽

Here's an easier workout: Straight bar dips, if you can't do those do regular dips, if you can't do regular dips do assisted dips, if you can't do assisted do negatives Pull ups, negative pull ups, jumping pull ups, Australian pull ups, banded lat pull downs If you have a straight bar you can work pull overs Hollow bodies - check out this video for progressions of hollow bodies: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Tkdl6q9C7Y.html

You are amazing. I am trying doing strict muscle up for year but still have so much problems to get a good one. What progressive exercise should I focus on?

Great vid, I find I get a pain in my sternum when I do muscle ups, do you reckon it’s just not from warming up properly ?

Is it possible you need more mobility in your upper spine? If your upper spine doesn’t move freely then Id imagine it would cause issues in your sternum

@@jackw6259 Check out instagram.com/p/B27oQ_OH7W7/ and practice spinal segmentation. See if you can control your vertebra individually, or if you spine is kind of clunky. Do you have a point where your spine hinges? Follow his spinal segmentation - it has done wonders for me.

What is the basic strenght requirement to do a muscle up? Like, how many pull ups, dips, push ups, etc. do i need to have enough strength for the muscle up?

I guess it depends on what type of muscle up you are looking to do. Gymnastic kipping muscle ups will often just require alot of technique, minimal strength. I believe strict muscles ups are easier for people who have explosive strength (something I lack) The census seems to be 15 pull ups, 10+ straight bar dips.

@@Summerfunfitness i want to do a strict muscle up. I can only do 9 pull ups so have some work to do. But 10 dips isn’t to hard.

@@roukaya1578 straight bar dips are a whole other ball game - when doing straight bar dips try to aim to lower to your mid chest then back up :) Message me on IG if needed.
