It's your videos that convinced me to take the plunge and subscribe to the Back to the Future Delorean build this morning! Now, I find you're doing the X-Wing!! Mind has been blown!! LOL
This one too. Fanhome seriously needs to get this one too. Im finishing up ECTO with them and I will be looking for another model to start up in about a year. Im a huge Star Wars fan, so I would love love love absolutely love to see them do the M Falcon that DiAg did (obviously a sister company of sorts) So they should do this one too. Moreover, since the bigfig for 3PO isn't available anymore, it would be nice to see FanHome do a 1:2 scale of 3PO too in the same fashion as their Iron Man build.
I´m from Spain and I´m subscribed to this collection and nowadays I have 31 issues ready to start assembling. Just I was waiting for your videos. Thank because now I´m ready to start it. Good Job Wayne.
I have no plans on building this one, but like Thunderbird 2, your videos might just wet my appetite. Not that I've got anywhere to put the thing if I do build it. Damn you Wayne!!!!
The flat side of the sprue cutter blades go toward the part, away from the sprue. This gives a nice flat side to the part so little or no sanding is required. Doing it the other way round leaves a mall point from the sprue on the part to be sanded.
Hello Wayne! Excellent introduction for this collection! Here in Brazil im constructing the r2d2. I have all the 100 parts for the millenium but afraid to assemble yet... Cant wait for this amazing x wing collection!
On Step 4, when you push the smaller cannon onto the bigger one, was yours loose? Mine was loose and seemed to needed super glue. I haven't done anything with it, yet. Wanted to ask your advice. Cheers!
Not sure if anyone else has commented on this but the UK warehouse for deagostini has closed so everything comes from Italy now. Been having issues with back issues running out in the UK and I've now waited since April for them to turn up.
Yeah I sent you a text that I watched your video of the X-Wing Fighter issue 1 is it possible I could get this through you or do you know how I could hook up for it you said it was coming out of Italy so please could you let me know because that would sure be something nice to get to make thank you Bruce from the US just to let you know what country do I live in thank you
Before cutting the small parts off, use a strip of masking tape , stick it across one side. Then cut them. This will stop them from flying across the room.
Hi I would love to get this however I’ve been waiting for over a year and half for the last part for build the spitfire from this company so I’m very gun shy about taking on another subscription and yes I have contacted them repeatedly about it and they Esther say it’s out of stock or will be shipped shortly as I said a great looking kit have a great time with the build
Hi Wayne, I don't get it actually, why is it only available on Deagostini UK website and not on Modelspace UK? Because international subscribers like myself can't get this unless it's on Modelspace UK which does international shipping... I'm happy that you were able to snap this up.
Is that supposed to be Red 5? If so, then they messed up the canopy color. It’s a light bluish gray on the studio model. That looks like greenish brown/grey on the screen.
Well, Tamiya paint company out of Japan has dead on spray can colors that will match the main body color, canopy and the mustard yellow stripe. The others are pretty close to. I used their rattle can paint on my 1/72 Red 3 and Blue Leader.
So, we still don't know how large it is ! There was nothing placed beside the blueprint to give us anything to scale against and get a realistic idea of its size.
Wayne I subbed to this back in January. Does your vid mean I could potentially be expected a package soon or is the delivery from Italy a work around. I’ve not seen or heard anything of an official UK release as the only response I got was they were waiting for stock.
The force is definitely strong with you Wayne. .yes its a big model but just imagine if it was even bigger to the scale of your R2D2 then you might need to place it outside your house ☺
Lack of weathering is a big disappointment for me. I was really looking forward to not having to go through that faff - I'm too scared to weather - it's a proper skill to get it right :(
Wayne if you need any advance build info you can always check out my channel I’ll have another video out this week, and just a heads up I don’t use video editing.
R2D2 and the laser cannons will need lots of light blocking. One thing that is disappointing about this build is how many highly detailed parts end up being sealed inside other parts. They will never be seen, ever again, unless you want to leave parts, like the engines, un-assembled. There are some very fiddly parts, inside the engines, that I just left out for this very reason.
Nothing but trouble getting deliverys on time with the MF build. No thanks. Still sitting here unbuilt 2 years later. Having to wait for subscriptions whilst streaming ahead collecting others and taking months to back issues, Ended up In a box.
FAB365 made a 3D printed version ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6RHvPUiAJUI.html With how long Deagostini is taking, I could have printed an entire air force squadron of these...
