I have an 01 Dually almost exact same build. LDS SAC 45s, I have the LBZ sportsman pump, LDS 64mm V2 turbo, ARP, new fuel lines and bolts, 5" Magnaflow with muffler. Banks Ram air, 3 pillar Max tow gauges ,dsp5 with 140 tune, no limp so i just got 250 hp tune. hopefully she'll hold. Trans was supposedly done before I got the truck. Mine is stock height grandpa looking truck. BUT SHE RIPS!
It amazes me how much money you can sink into these toys, i bought an LMM someone had dropped 30k into a Dmax motor and trans lots of goodies 2k here 2k here , 5k vanished on my end and i could make another 5 dissappear real quick😮
Hey there. Glad I came across this video. Currently building my 01 Sierra LB7 right now. Going all out with a custom built ATS Stage 5 transmission. I love how you set up the center stack for the outlet, AC compressor, etc. Looking to do the same thing. How did you wire the inverter there? And where did you get the panel to put there? Did you make it? Super interested in how you made that work! My AC compressor is also on a switch since my AC panel is messed up too. I’d love to do the same thing to my truck!
nice rig 👍. im looking at doing the same teardown/replacements in my lb7-- sac45, lbz cp3 or superstock, and potentially head gasket/arp studs as well. i already have a trans from Mike L so once i get these issues taken care of I should be good for a whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile I was surprised by what you said regarding tuning by ppei-- did it not run well with the mods. If you could PM some more details i would very much appreciate it.
Not sure really the issue with PPIE. I honestly think it was because Cory didn’t even look at the issues. I’m assuming he had employees working on it that were incapable of getting it right. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t go with the modified LBZ Cp3 as I believe this was hard to tune over email.
Honestly not sure. My goal is 650 after transmission. I have it set up to fully support that. Bigger turbo I could push to 700 but what I have now is plenty for what I use the truck for!
