Tank you so much. This kind of worked for me. The text look up values worked, but I also had currencies I wanted to look up and those columns would not appear in my list unless I changed them to "number." Still, I'm better off than before.

Thank you! very simple. One question, how do you input the 'attachment cell' into the SharePoint list? I didn't see you set any column for the attachment in the SP list.
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou Год назад
Hey Moataz, by default attachments are already available on a list its just not showing in your default view. You can disable/enable attachments in advanced settings in list settings. To show the attachments column on your view just select "Add Column" then select "Show or hide columns", here you can check to show the attachments column.

@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou Год назад
Hey Steve, thankyou for the great comment. As we use the reset and new form you can keep submitting feedback forms. If another user opens the app it is a different sessions so they will be able to submit a form to the same list.

Thank you so much. Can you also tell me how do I share that form with the users of my organisation to fill up?
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 5 месяцев назад
Hey deejay thankyou for the comment. Yes certainly you can share with the following steps: 1. Navigate to: make.powerapps.com/ 2. Select Apps along the left panel 3. Find your app and select the ellipsis then select share 4. In the new window you can search for the members to share with, this will show members in your organisation. Adding a member will allow them to use the app, however there is also a checkbox named coowner which will give them edit rights to edit the app. 5. Select the ellipses again and select details to get the link to the app, you can share this link with your colleague and they can paste it into a browser

Is there a way where users can edit a pasty entry? For example they already entered a project and wants to edit that part entry? Also if they want to submit multiple projects?
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou Год назад
Hey Maggie! Thankyou fir the comment. Yes sure you can load a previous record into the form. If you select the form and on the top left change it to the "Item" property. Here you can lookup that record. Ie Lookup(SharePointListName, ID = 1) This will populate the fields with that data. If you want to submit multiple projects you will need further development for this and there are many ways it can be achieved. Can you explain more how you would like to submit multiple project? Maybe complete multiple forms and they store locally then press a final submit button? Or you want to have multiple forms on a screen?

Great video! Is there a way of seeing on the sharepoint list who has submitted the form
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 8 месяцев назад
Hey tinoz, thankyou for the comment. Yes when you create a SharePoint list it will have autogenerated fields with it i.e created date, created by, modified date, modified by. You can simply add this column to your SharePoint listview and you will see who submitted the record
@jl-dq5ch
@jl-dq5ch 10 месяцев назад
this is not the way you are supposed to set these forms up. you should use the sharepoint integration method from inside ms list at top where says integrate. This will make a different type of app specifically for this function
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 9 месяцев назад
Hey jl, thankyou for your comment and we really appreciate the feedback. Yes by creating the app directly from the list, it is a great method to use also, however this defaults it to mobile view and to that specific list. With the method we have shown in the video it is for browser/tablets and allows you to use more than one SharePoint list.

once your data is being loaded into the sharepoint from the power app, can u use the path URL of the sharepoint to make a power bi dashboard? I want people to be able to enter in data using a power app, and then i want to take the data that is being entered and have it flow into a dashboard so that i can visualize it (i have a certain vision for it)
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 7 месяцев назад
Hey thankyou for the comment. Yes certainly you can have your Power Bi dashboard pointing at the SharePoint list (SharePoint list is your datasource). You do not need to have it connected to the PowerApp itself.

network error when using patch function, field title is required? even though I filled out my title field it still says that.. not sure why
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 10 месяцев назад
Hey xyzphd thanks for the comment. This might be a bug. You can recreate the list and reconnect however a quicker workaround is going to your list, select the cog on top right and go to list settings, scroll down and select the title field and select no on "require this column contains information". This will make the field not mandatory. Be sure to refresh your browser page with the app open so it pulls in the updated SharePoint settings.

There is a possibility to fill a drop down list from an Excel file in Powerapps and send the selection to Sharepoint list?
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 9 месяцев назад
Hey faro, thankyou for the comment, yes you can certainly add an excel file as a datasource and pull data from that, however working with Excel in PowerApps is not a good solution. If you can explain more what you are trying to achieve maybe we can advise something better.

How to send email on the submission to assignee?
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou Год назад
Hey, thankyou for the comment. You will need to use Power Automate flow for this. You can create an "Automated flow" with the trigger being "When a new item is added" to SharePoint. Then in your next step you can use the send an email step. We have a video emailing a document in Power Automate flow here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fx2TcVEeGPU.html At 49 seconds in the video you will see where you select the "When a new item is added" for the trigger. At 2:25 in the video you will see how to send an email. Best of luck with the app!

Why do you prefer to use flow to send emails instead of any other methods❓ Just curious because it seems like more work, but I might not be seeing things right

@@jray1429 Hey, there are many ways to achieve it however I like to use flow as it is is a clean out of the box way to do this by using the products within the Power Platform. Sending an email from flow is also easier to debug if there is an issue due to the nicer interface. This is just my preference :)
