Build your own Astro Photography PC for image processing

I’ve been using a 12-year-old laptop for my PixInsight image processing and that is simply not working out for me anymore because of all the heavy processing activities needed for the images I produce. It has been a long time coming, but finally I can show you how to build your own PC for image processing with some of the high-end components available. This video is not sponsored by anyone, and I have paid for these components myself.
Please notice! In the video i mount my M.2 SSD in a slot that might not be utilizing all of the performance of the drive. Please use the M.2 slot closest to the CPU for best performance.
This is what I used in my build project:
Intel 14th gen Core i9-14900KF

Kingston Fury 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz
ASUS GeForce RTX 4060 8GB Dual OC
Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 1TB SSD

ASUS ROG Strix 1000W Gold Aura Edition
Fractal Design North MidiTower

Did you only use the 1x M.2 NVME SSD as your video shows @15:00? If so, you installed the SSD in the wrong place as it needs to go closest to the CPU (there's another M.2 slot just below the CPU that is designed for the main boot SSD) that way you will benefit from the proper speeds.

Hi! You are correct, I have moved my SSD to this location now. I did however not noticed any real performance improvement related to PixInsight for the tests that I did. But it's worth taking notice of and I will update the video description. Thanks!

@@frosthastrophotography There's a huge loss of performance as these lower slots are controlled by a different chipset. Always put your main drive closest to the CPU. If you are going to put out these tutorials please ensure you know what you are doing as others follow your guide

I would really wanna know how long does it take to image process multiple images with this new PC you've got, I'm looking forward to build a very good PC, and I wanna know the time it takes to process images, in order for me to get just the right specs for my new PC build
