Debug Mode, you have to hold A until the level finishes appearing, not start appearing. Also, to keep debug mode, hold A at the end of a level until the next level finishes appearing.

The gradual pixelation reminds me of some of the 8-bit levels from Rayman Legends.

No, it's impressive and all, but it seemed pretty lacking of features. Now, I'm TOTALLY invested into this and want to play it on SHC. See ya.

I'm tempted to suggest you add a frameskipping option. An option to have the game skip calling the render/sound channel update routines every couple frames to artificially limit the framerate.

How do you activate this blast processing yellow bar from bottom right ? I have managed to see it only once but can't remember properly. Would appreciate the help. Really awesome work with this rom hack ! It feels so good to make the game re-playable with so many old school options.
