Editing the arsenal is always the most difficult part. Listening to your advice is a great way to not end up with way too many plugs that never get wet 😂. These baits catch fish!

Lots of good info as usual. Thanks for taking the time. I do love the Bubble Walker but I’ve never gone silent with it. Whopper Ploppers work very well too. Love that surface strike.

I tie direct. You could try a small/lite split ring. It should work as long as it doesen'tweigh down the head of the bait. It it doesen't work it won't cost you anything.

So Steve I am curious, can we use a snap to attach these top water baits to our line? Number of rods are limited while kayak fishing and snaps can make changing lures easier.

@@cgray1300 stronger than a snap that's for sure, the good strong ones r hard to open though. I've seen guys catch 7and 8 pound fish with snaps on a crankbait but they were rated at like 75 or 85 #s. I personally just tie a new knot when I change lures

A quality snap will work on fast moving baits like whopper ploppers and buzz baits. A lite snap can also work on poppers and some smaller baits, just make sure the weight of the snap doesen't weigh down the head of the bait. The snap or ring should not have too much effect on the action.
