Jeremy and the the whole Build a Soil Team ; all jobs well done. Can't say enough for the whole Team. You guys are setting a high standard for other companies to follow. One thing I am concerned with....for Jeremy.... protect your Eyes in the grow rooms we don't need to see your eyes... Those LED lights are going to damage your eyes over time that will be unrepairable . Keep your standers high and set the Bar for others to follow. Well Done!
My man Jeremy went from not really liking autoflowers to possibly making a specialized soil and nutrient kit 😂 autos are challenging but FUN af when you’re successful. Keep growing fam, love the auto grows 💪🏾🙌🏾
I always plant in the final container with auto flowers. Inevitably life will get busy and mistakes happen. Planting directly into the final pot does away with stunting from the taproot touching the container. Instead of buying coco coir plugs would it not save money to get the molding tool that makes the plugs and make them from the soil you will be using in the final pot. A good heat mat and thermostat, pots full of hydrated soil, a mason jar humidity dome, and autos are ready for the soil. It doesn't get much easier than seed to soil in final pot. Thanks for the show and all the knowledge shared.
After watching your video on Char Coir Coco Coins I bought a pack. I cut my clones exactly as you did in the video, no rooting hormones, I got roots in 8 days! That's the fastest I've ever had clones take root. Did 4 mid crop as a test batch and all 4 rooted in 8 to 9 days. I'm sold, I'll never use anything else for cloning. Thank you for that video ❤❤
THis series cu go forever and id never get bored, as all the content they put out . I really feel Buildasoil and FCP have a lot of credit to the homegrowers excelling in Large pot/Beds
I got the burgundy Christmas tree and I love it so comfortable quality as usual thanks Jeremy for everything and thank you from my plants they’re happy too lol
Thank you so much for taking the time to share all your trials and tribulations... It's all very interesting and fun to take part in too! Can't wait to get some quality seeds and finally get a successful grow under my belt ! lol....
I am SO very glad you posted this episode. I am at the exact same stage with my new Auto-Flower seedlings. I have only opened my seedling tray once to give everything a gentle mist, but they are about the same size as yours. I thought I had another few days, but now I am going to go ahead and drop my CoCo pucks into my Earthboxes. Was hoping to give my cover crop a chance to develop a little bit before dropping the new ladies, but alas, Autos wait for nobody!
Does anyone else have issues when leaving the netting on the puck on? I have noticed it creates a pinch point in the roots. It’s like putting a zip tie on a hose right jn the middle of it. Have done some side by side grows with removing it on a few and keeping it on a few and the ones it was removed from did noticeably better. Bigger plants and roots 🤙.
I switched to organics my last grow and have not regretted it at all! Craft blend, root wise and dehydrated coconut water are the products from buildasoil I have tried so far and they definitely make my plants happy! Thanks for all the free knowledge you throw out there Jeremy! I appreciate you guys at buildasoil!
Getting ready to start some autos in build a soil light. Should I add anything to the soil before planting my seedlings in? Worm castings, kashi, craft blend, more pumice? And when do I top dress and with what? I have craft blend, bokashi, build a flower, build a bloom, and castings on hand. I know you'll probably cover all this, but it's good to be prepared . Thanks for all you and the BAS team do for the community.
Plant all I always plant 2 per pot minimum that way if you get a few that you don't like you can chop them and keep the best looking plants that is the best way I've found as long as I plant them in a 5gal or larger you can do as small as 1gal pots but that means you have to cull at day 15 to 20
Who would've thought it would be cannabis growers who care more about the earth than the soy bean farmer. This is such a special plant it has real potential to change standards
This will be interesting. When I got my auto pot XXL I got all new soil from you and I think it was 3.0. Now I did soak my seeds overnight then did the paper towel deal 2 days I dropped them in potting soil that put on top of the 3.0 and I wish I could show you the one that was the beast stopped growing and the runt is to the top of my 4 x 4
Awesome! For me, i use the 3.0 at the bottom third of my 5 gal pots. The rest is filled w Roots Organics Original soil. It seems to let the autos grow nicely for a couple weeks before the taproot finds the supersoil. Its worked regarding stunting...✌
Super stoked for this lil autoflower series, just moved to a small apartment and seriously considering setting up at 4x4 and havin a go at some Daz genetics 🔥
Looking forward to season 6 auto flowers. You really should do an outdoor grow this year, my outdoor grow was quite successful last year. Thanks again for all the great advice.
Excited for the series thanks Jeremy. Why didn’t you add worm castings to the soil? Is it just not needed? Same for any nutrient amendments, just not needed as well? Thanks for all the info. Really stoked about this series. Just happened to be starting some seeds at the same time! ✌️
I just got my first autoflowers seeds in (mephisto genetics - double purple) and I can't wait to start them in my earthboxes. I'm using buildasoil light but after seeing this video I may add in some extra pumice and perlite this run. I usually mix in kashi blend and opti-veg anyways.
FYI your amazing. Thanks for all your great tips and tricks. Wish I could do a collab with you because we're running at the same time!! Again you rock!!! Keep it loyal to the soil
Why not just make the initial area you plant into all Coco? Have your potting soil in your bin or bag, take a medium size pot press in to the dirt to make a indentation. Fill that with Coco then put the pre sprouted pucks in there, that way it would slow down the roots touching nutrients.
The pucks seem cool, but I'd prefer something with more soil volume that would readily allow roots thru while giving a measure of moisture retention which would allow for the plants to develop a true leaf before transplanting and a larger environmental lmicro-zone after transplanting to help the plants along.
I would've cut the netting/paper off the rooting/germination pellet. It almost never biodegrades even though it's supposed to be biodegradable and even if the roots do grow though it (which doesn't always happen), the resistance might trigger early flowering. Plus the pellet should keep it's form after cutting the outer part off.
Hi Jeremy, I've noticed you've never used or talked about epsom salt. If you have a reason, can you tell us why? And where do you get the magnesium from in the BaS way? Thank you for your time and valuable lessons!
Dude, I just saw the episode in Season 4 where you foliar with Epsoms lol. You can answer this or not but you did a good job explaining why you like them there. Thanks again!
Previously I always used Nature's Living soil concentrate in 5 gal fabric pots for my autos. This is my first run with autos in 9 cu feet of the take and bake. Started mine on 12/22. So far after letting the soil bake for a couple weeks I have only added red worms, Thrive, the 3 Rootwise products, and top dressed with some Gnarley Barley and Kashi. Interested in your results!
Okay on part two with and man awesome stuff. I have a few sources as a new grower that really make sense to me. You, yield source and mr.growit, and then my boy J out in Illinois. Also Terpy high as he grows vivosun equipment like me. Anyway on my second grow and like any rookie 1st grow was all too much of this not enough of that and then the oooo wow want that factors lol
Question for a later video: When I water, I put two gallons in a pitcher then use an airstone to pump oxygen into the water for 24 hours. The water goes from 7.5 pH to 8.5 pH… Should I be worried about the high pH?
im trying royal queen seeds hybrid autos that all grow as one pheno. like a clone..ive popped 10 from 10 in root riot cubes and ive already transplanted them into 2 gallon pots today..im a first timer too..ive pretty much done the same method you have.im happy someone is doing what i am doing..im just building up the humidity in the grow room and my humidity is currently at around73%..im going 18/6 like mr cannuck...
Hello friend. Generally you don’t want to be transplanting autos into different pot sizes. The goal is to plant autos in their forever home pot because they (autos) tend to get freaked out by transplanting. If I were you I would consider planting your autos in their final pots and continue with the vegetative growth cycle/conditions.
Hey Jeremy , I have been testing soils for autoflowers for a while and find that they all love fluffy super draining soil the best with around 25% perlite . And it must have mycorrhiza in it . Then i get 100% success of super healthy growth when you pre moisten the soil with distilled water and molasses , or a sugar to jump start the myco. before potting it . And the best is transplanting from a solo cup sized seed starter . to a 3-5 gallon fabric pot . so when you do finish your auto soil i would suggest the bags being a perfect 3 or 5 gallon soil bag ... Just a liitle insight i thought might help . and because of you i now have the same passion for my soil as i do my plants . they go hand in hand Thanks bud !
I thought this run was almost done? I’m confused. Is this a sales video? I’m not throwing shade but I thought I just saw on IG where this exact auto run was like 6-8 weeks in already and booming. Maybe I’m confusing this run with another run. Thanks for the videos as always
Hey Jeremy. Thank you for your knowledge, and you're good heart to share. Question. I have a major issue with vpd.how detrimental is 5 degrees over or under. I'm using niwa grow hub and ac Infinity automation. And they always seem to be 5 degrees differental. Thank you
Would it be possible to set the schedule to see the BAS series on the same day each week? There's something to be said for setting an expectation of reliability. Even shorts, it's always educational and entertaining.
