Just picked up my 1997 Trek 930 from the shop. Had that puppy from day one in Jan-1997. Still running strong.

Love the upgrades, especially getting the rear triangle to take disc brakes.. I'll be doing that on my GT.

Excellent. Nice progressive update of components. Since you got a new shifter I would have jumped to a 10 speed rather than sticking with 8 as the jumps between gears on that wide range cassette would be smaller. Nice job with the race face cranks.

Where did you find the mounting adapter for the rear disc brakes. I've got a 930 I've had since 97 and want to do a complete upgrade just like you've done. Thanks and great video man!!

Yes you did - I picked up an early '90s 930 a couple of weeks ago $25. Just 1 owner from new. Would love to upgrade it like this but also have a '90s GT Karakoram that could use the attention too!😍 Both would need new rear hubs to take the disc.
