You should get second opinion on the septic leach field, and the thought of putting it around all the trees. Trees have roots, roots look for water and nutrients, leach fields have water and nutrients in them. Pretty sure you don't want a leach field full of tree roots.

I live in the southeast so no nothing about ice build up. But I have heard of low voltage driveway heating. Is this an option for driveway. If you ever sell, wouldn’t this be great selling point for safety alone

Hold on, you paid 2200 usd to get plan for cabin. It wasnt though 100% that it fits in with regulation etc? So architecht can basically plan anything without need to fill regulstions?

Get an artist to draw a scaled down version or 3D model it, this way you'll be able to get a clearer picture of everything without the common errors of doing it all in your head, the amazing thing about some of these 3D models is that you'll be able to see these things in real time happening right down to weather, erosion and water flow, this way you can make the mistakes without the huge $$$$ deduction from your savings lol

It sound like hi fix for the driveway slope, is not a fix at all.

I don't get it, why would you want a mountain home with the neighbour's looking right into your property? Security? Are these neighbours friends of yours? I really hope you have made the right decision. Those neighbour's might not love that their quiet existing mountain getaway homes are fast becoming part of the suburbia they wanted to escape from.

My only complaint is that you have over 2 mins of ads on a 15 min video lol. Over 13% of the video is ads, not including what RU-vid throws on… Do these companies tell you how long the ad spot needs to be? I dno, that seems like they got a lot out of you lol

Do you have a new editor? This video seemed choppy and hurried compared to your typical videos. I totally got hung up on the drain field because it sounded like you plan on driving over it and all sorts of stuff which can end up in some really crappy situations (pun fully intended.)

Not gonna lie, I have been a lotal follower for a couple years but this seems like one of those investments that has huge upside for regrets. You have 0 privacy unless you're in your closet on a piece of land that honestly doesn't make any sense.

I would cut down the two trees with the roots they can grow into your leach bed. Cost, more in the future to repair!

That's INSANE!!! $400/sqft....that's Commercial/Industrial Manufacturing pricing. Residential should be NO HIGHER than $175/sqft....and that would be for ULTRA luxurious. For a mountain setting A-Frame, you should be looking at NO HIGHER than $120/sqft. YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF!!!! I mean...come on... I have a 4,730sqft home, and it is very high end, way more than your A Frame will be..... But at those prices, I should be selling my place for OVR $1.9 MILLION.

A steep road, a construction in an Idaho forest, talks of ice and snow, this reminds me so much of Ambition Strikes! What are you planning on doing with the cabin? Will you keep it for yourselves exclusively, air bnb it, fully rent it, sell it ? And as always, I appreciate it so much that you are transparent with what things cost you, too many people are scared to talk about money (they have good reasons of course) and it can be hard for people watching to get a sense of what comes within their budget should they want to do something similar!

At least he won't have to spend the whole series fixing someone else's laziness
