@@AEBwatch I can confidently say GuineaDad Liner is the healthiest option. Since you can reuse the liner, it also ends up being less expensive. We have a videos in the GuineaDad Liner playlist that explains both.
@@GuineaDad it's was cute while it lasted. Fresh herb plants are expensive, best to start a little garden on your porch and give them cuttings as a treat. Such a cute idea tho
Dang all this hard work DIYing a cage for your piggies really shows how much you personally care about pets as a business. Also, I love your products and I love even more how it’s run by handsome Asian men 😉
Haha, thank you. All of us here really care about what we do and hope to make a better place for pets around the world. I am really glad that you felt that as well 😊
@@DaciaVance I agree, he loves his girls too much that he got this idea to share these wonderful products to others who love guinea pigs as well. To add, don't mind spending their money for their furry babies. I have one boy and three girls and i love to spend my money on them rather than on me!
I’ve been thinking about building a guinea pig cage, for my two g-pigs and this was really helpful, and also helped with cage ideas, I had no idea what I should do for the cage, so thank you for the idea and DIY vid!
Where did the side table get used or was it just for the extra legs? I notice the coffee table comes with a shelf I assume you just didn't need/use it?
Thanks for watching, and hope you will be able to see the whole set up on other videos 😉 Just the cage itself is about 19 sq.ft for the three girls. The GuineaDad Liner pocket doubles as a hidey (along with the Crunchy Condo. www.guineadad.com
Can I buy some of your awesome work?? This is outstanding! Great job. 👍🏼 My pigs are needing a cage, they're still in one of those small ones. It's only meant for one guinea pig but there are two. I also have another pig that's in a pretty small one.
😆 spoilt babies. I like the idea. If I had the other cage I would reused the panels and attached it to the back instead of the peg boards. Have cats so I would have do something like that with a lid. It's a cool idea.
Wow!! This type of home for piggies is definitely the way forward! I've watched your video over and over, and I've set my mind on doing this for my 3 girls. Just think, no more hay escaping through the cubes and poops getting stuck in the connectors! lol !😂. Piggie condo here we come! 🐹. Oh, and I'm pretty nifty with D.I.Y. A million thanks for the inspiration! I'll hop on for instructions as I go along!👍
Hi Guinea Dad. Up-date on building the new home for my piggies. All I need now is the plexi-glass! I've actually built it right up to that point, water-proof lining, joined the tables with brackets (joined tables first THEN lined the floor! lol)I just have to go to the hard-ware with my measurements for the plexi glass, I didn't want to risk getting the glass first and messing up! I can already tell it's going to look stream-lined and sleek, no more 'cagey' looking !! I honestly can't thank you enough for your inspiration!👍🏆. Thank You! 😘
This was so cute💕For my 15th birthday two months ago I got 8 Guineapigs haha my mom and grandma got me them without knowing that they both were getting me piggies I have 26 now and they are so cute I have a extra room just for my piggies it has toys and play areas food and water and lots of tunnels it’s a small room but it works perfectly for them and my mom and I took the door off and replaced it with an Dog fence so you can open and close it basically the whole room is there cage haha but it has Waterproof rugs underneath💕I really love this guys keep up the good work and say hi to your piggies mine says hi to them haha 6:47 I have plants too for them the love it so much it’s really good for them💕💕💕
Search up ikea detolf cage on here and there are tutorials, they’re amazing cages. Make sure you make a lid to prevent escape tho lol. Also, some good channels for diy hamster cages are ErinsAnimals (She’s amazing), HoppingHammy and VanillaHamHam.
You can definitely make it smaller (this one is on the big side especially for 1-2 guinea pigs), but as many people will say. Bigger the better when it comes to guinea pig cages :)
Cool cage and nice video! I have a question though, what do I do if I’m washing the liners on heavy duty and extra rinse but the smell is still not coming out? Any tips? I’ll try to clean out the cage more/replace the liners. Thanks so much! I love your liner, and so do my boys! So much easier and cost efficient than bedding!
I am glad you love the product :) The cause is urine deposits inside the liner, and it's easy to get rid of with "deep cleaning" method. Here is the link to the video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kNjp1K_DSGU.html
Maybe looks smaller in the video but looking at one of your earlier ones seems the cage was larger when it was in-front of couch (c&c with mid-west cage connection) seems more rectangular where the older setup was a larger square? If it is smaller how are the piggies liking it? I have a very large cage but considering downsizing to similar to what you have done mostly cause the larger cage is difficult for me to maintain (physically due to mobility issues on my part).
Thanks for watching. The size of the cage is about the same as 2x6 C&C cages but always has a door always open to a larger space that is about 100 to 150 sq.ft.
I like the use of pegboard. This would work well for baby pigs but I would definitely need coroplast still because one of my girls loves wee on the walls of the cage. Also, I saw someone ask about getting the smell from the bedding. I had the same issue and vinegar didn’t work (I guess my pigs are extra funky). What finally did the trick was adding 1/3 cup of washing soda to each load. It’s like baking soda on steroids and it’s cheap.
Guineadad, even though you have that 36.1K subscribers, your videos are most loved! 288,760 views! So keep making them! Your videos is what I watch over and over in the morning before work and in the evening after work as a coping mechanism for my daily ever stressful but rewarding job at the rehab center. So, thankful that you making them. I kid you not!
Really good! We found our "Stuff" from the treasure trove. 2 big cabinets (20€ for each of them). Now we have a 4 m long cage and our Guinea pigs love it! Even the older one are running around and popcorning. Love it.
Guinea pigs pee a lot and the owner should change the "floor" every day. But all these funny videos shows only the cute and positive side of the coin. This is not the full story. It's not easy job to own an animal.
I have been struggling with a tone of different ideas for my girls diy cage as an upgrade from their 3 cage midwest cage system and now i see my vision. Ty u so much for this and we are building this for our 4 girls at the end of this month!!
@@GuineaDad it helped a ton and i have saved the supply list. I the 2 amazon itms in my cart the lowes items in that cart and Ikea in Atlanta here we come in 2 weeks lol i cant wait to build this more our babies 😄😄😄
Omg. Fresh herbs aren’t cheap and they ate it all for like 5 minutes. I’m gonna be broke if I have Guinea pig at home. Even my dog food cost $15-$20 per month.
I watched your grass table build, and now RU-vid knows too much. “Pssst...hey...you like plants? You like animals? We got your plants _and_ animals right here!!” :P Love that you grow fresh veg for your peegs! Gotta get your fiber! Ha ha
I used the bottom of a IKEA KURA bed to make a pen. The total size comes up at 200 x 90cm. It's too big for a Guineadad liner, so I stitched my own fleece liners, but we have a good supply of the small Guinea Dad pee pads, which keeps their hideys comfortable. On Amazon Japan, they are subject to big price fluctuations, but recently they went down again so I got another 3.
I love your videos, I’m planning my diy piggies cage, my Guinea pigs are good jumpers, I’m wondering how high I should make the walls and how careful to not have stuff they can climb on and jump out of the cage. Do you think that is an issue?
