I like that you are moving away from reviewing - if was what helped me find your channel but your content on the 3D printed dry boxes changed my printing experience (and kept me about) You create great videos - do not let these manufacturers use that just to push their products - instead push the projects that change your life and it’ll help others along the way!

One of the very best 3D printed guitar projects that I have seen so far! Nicely done. I am interested to hear how well the fretboard holds up and how "stable" the neck turns out to be. It is a very interesting choice to use an aluminum profile to strengthen the neck... clever for sure. Let us know how this thing is holding up, that would be a good video for sure. Awesome job here. Cheers.

Nice. I have made the Prusacaster but you need a Telecaster kit from Thomann to complete it.

Carbon fibre stiffening rods and the truss rod should be enough for a 3D printed neck. I noticed that you did not use a truss rod, this is an important part of a neck as it allows you to adjust the straightness of the neck, the neck should not be 100% straight, a slight concave bend should be present in the neck as relief, however, a filament material with slight give in it would have to be used to stop the neck cracking. I realise as a guitarist you will be aware of this, the info is for the audience. Congratulations! I think you ended up with a playable instrument.

Think you will find that the design does not allow to fit a traditional truss rod.

Can a 3D-printed guitar sound as good as the real thing? Yes and no. Any song relying on the actual acoustic properties of a guitar's wood choices, chambering, body shape etc will be noticeable different in comparison to the real deal. Anything reliant on just quality electronic components and a clean signal between guitar and amp/interface will have a neglible difference. Either way, it's a cool concept taking other traditional tools and instruments etc and seeing what we can replicate with 3D printing.

In the future, they make fret nippers that leave them not sharp, and flush.

Hi Ricky, can i ask how exactly you got the pattern on the fret board please?
@RickyImpey
@RickyImpey 2 месяца назад
Hi Mark, it's a setting called 'first layer pattern' or something very similar. I believe I used Orca Slicer but others have similar settings.
