A time-lapse guide to Meng's World War Toons style Sherman model kit. The Sherman was one of the most numerous, reliable and cheap tanks used by the allies in the Second World War.

I'd recommend this entertaining little kit to anyone, it fits so perfectly and looks so cool!
Studio Roqovan provided me with this kit for free, however they have not paid me or told me what to do or say. My opinions are honest and my own.

Here is a little challenge for you if you have time! Buy a Airfix Quickbuild set and when you have completed building it you have to make it look like a model you make in your videos. By that i mean with weathering, and all other stuff you do. Amazing kit Btw and keep up the Good Work

I just purchased another of these kits. They're super cheap at Hobby Lobby ($5 with 40% off coupon), and lots of fun to build. I might build a whole army of them, with different paint jobs!

I've built three of these and each one is a great slump buster from more challenging/detailed builds. Yours came out super. I did a little extra on each of mine [I cannot control myself]. With weathering and damage these come out next level if you wish. They NEED figures though. MENG?

I'm working on an Afrika Korps Tiger I similar to the one in your previous world war toons build. The only difference is that mine is a 1:48 Tamiya kit. Great video as usual!

just made this and looked up videos on other paint styles and found your channel and you did exactly what i had done though i had the wheels static and the tracks painted a rusted colour with added weathering the tank

These kind of models are good for developing artistic shading skills, I think You should try figures in 1:35 or bigger, I bet they will turn out good with all those clothing wrinkles, shading & ect :)

Very similar to my Sherman, I heavy silvered around the wheels, painted the rubber tracks, and used my airbrush to spit sand camo paint at it from the front to make it look like dirt. I liked this effect so I did the wheels, and then other toon tanks I had. Color layout is just like yours........maybe I followed the directions being my 1st tank? The German Tigers got sexy tiger camo. I don't even know how it said to paint them. Great video. This exact tank model kick started a rediculos Gunpla Addiction. Does Meng have stock in Bandai?

I'd like to ask, particularly with tegards the Meng painting, what type of brushes you used? I'm currently brush painting a Chieftain Mk 5 and my results are much less favourable. Really enjoy your videos.

You painted the single tone for the Sherman, but how do you paint multiple tone camo? The technique for camo pattern. Sorry for the greenhorn question but im thinking of starting my first Mengs tank kit.

Hey Owen I’m not so confident about painting the cartoon style paint scheme when my very own one of these cute kits comes in the post. Do you have any tips or tricks for painting the cartoony style or do you think I should just have a go? I use good quality synthetic brushes and great acrylic paints and washes produced by citadel (games workshop).

Choose a mid-tone colour and paint the whole tank, then add black and blue for darker shades, or yellow and white for lighter shades rather than using a different paint pot. I preferred the Sherman to the Tiger :)

how would you recommend painting the rubber on the wheels on a tracked model? It is hard for me to get a perfect finish for the rubber

I find that you can't really work with rubber band tracks easily. I usually try and use enamel or oil paints - but even they sometimes come off. Possibly look for aftermarket plastic versions for the kits you're doing?

Depends how much you've thinned them. I leave them overnight until they have stopped smelling

This set is utter GARBAGE . Don’t buy it the small pieces will break. Don’t get why they don’t make it bigger. Waste of 14$
