Looks really great! In large flooding storms, does the dock just stay submerged under water until the water goes down?

Thankyou…yes, by leaving gaps between boards it allows the water surge to just pass over dock…as opposed to having no spaces (like my old dock) where the surge will lift it up and wash it away!

What was the cost to have the pilings installed per piling?

Good looking build! 2 things to consider for those who will be building a dock: 1) I didn’t see any piling wrap. Any boring worm activity will destroy those pilings, or at the very least weaken them enough for a storm to snap them. That is a failure point. 2) when doing pressure treated decking boards, it is a good idea to use galvanized nails. The nails have less resistance to uplift than screws and the galvanized will weaken over time. This is an intentional failure point as it is less costly to replace deck boards than framing members.

Not much of that going on there. The old piles didn't seem to have much boring worm damage.
