Okay if you made it to the end… HOW DREAMY did that turn out??? 👀 A huge shoutout to our neighbours for wanting to part with this and trading us this tub- this was such a fun project start to finish ! quack 💛
It’s amazing . Have you thought about putting a drainage hole where the shower goes ? It looks like the water pools there and it can’t be good for the wood. Other than that but of constructive criticism I think you did the best job girls . 11/10 and the mirror and plants were the perfect touch. See you next week ❤️
When I lived in Mexico we didn't have a sink in the kitchen and my God daughter had a sink that she used just to put things on, so I traded her my old washing machine for her sink and we were both very happy!
A nice stone fireplace at one side for ambient light at night and for a bit of heat in the winter to melt off snow would be an amazing final touch. Great Job looks amazing!
I thought, “wait! Vanwives taught me about insulating water lines in Canada!” “They need to insulate those lines.” Lol you two have created building know it all monsters! Lol😂
I've watched you two since the very beginning and I couldn't be happier for you two. You deserve all the blessings you've received. IN a weird WAY, I'm proud of you (since I'm a stranger on the net 😉). You've inspired me and so many! Thank you for sharing your lives with us! 🥰🥰🥰
@@Vanwives Curious... why not a Tesla Model 3 70+Kw battery for your power source ?? They have water cooling/heating in them too... just a though, The Model S battery packs are passing 1 million mile mark so longevity is not a problem...
You two just plumed that tub like it was second nature. Experience speaks volumes, especially when it's motivated by love ❤️ Thank you for making our Sundays special 🎉
It reminds me of the ofuro’s in Japan when I was a kid. Once you soak in that hot water and you are warm through and through, the cold walk back to the house is unnoticed! Really is so perfect!! You can add a spray attachment to the shower to help with clean up too. You gals are amazing!
New England Plumber here --I know that it’s been mentioned many times in the comments, but install two boiler drains ( hose faucets) in the lines that are in the house so you can winterize the water lines between uses. And remember to put the ball valve handles at a 45 degree angle when doing the draining process. Fully open or fully closed will trap enough water to split the valve. Great work.
You should definitely think about adding a roof on top and adding something to help with keeping the pipes safe during the winter. But it did turn out beautiful
Yes! It will make a huge difference to keep the water warm. I have an uninsulated tub in my tiny home extension and in the winter the water is cold by the time it’s full 😢
@@Vanwivesalso in-between the plumbing in the shower area... You can box in the pipe to the shower head. The shower tub area is so cool! You both are amazing.
+1 on insulating the tub and water feeds against the cold. ; also the faucet -- maybe a cover for winter so valve won't freeze and split (I had one do that, even after I drained it)@@Vanwives
You two are getting SO proficient on these projects! It must feel great to have the tools and the talent on hand to just bang them out so quickly! Congratulations! It looks great. :-)
Congrats on your new addition. You two killed it! Watch out for the lines freezing in the winter. You may want to add an air line to blow the lines when not in use in the winter. 💛
It’d be pretty quick to pull a bit of that trim and stuff some insulation batts around the tub. It’ll definitely keep the water hotter longer, especially in the winter. So proud of you two for cranking that out so quickly, especially with the shortened days!
Girls, You will need to put thick insulation and heat tape around all that plumbing for the hot tub. Pex can freeze but it's the fittings you need to worry about. Also, you should put a roof over your Hot tub. It's designed for interior use and the sunlight and weather will age it very fast.
It’s been sitting outside for 4 years in our neighbours yard 🤣🤣 I don’t think it will age much more than it has BUT I definitely want a roof now!!!!! We are blowing the lines with our compressor for winter 🥶
Absolutely gorgeous. Watching the two of you build that makes me realize how much I over-engineer everything. Anything I build outside sits on posts 5' into the ground. I use 2x8s as joists. I run 20 amp when 15 is too much. Me thinks your way is better! Great job - enjoy the soak. Have a great week! ~ Maarten
My husband and I have been watching your little family since you started reno-ing the cabin. We look forward to watching you each Sunday, and miss you when you haven't been able to post a video. Lovely build, as always. On note, for future reference in case you aren't aware, measuring for square is measuring from corner to corner on the diagonal. If the two diagonal measurements match, then you're square. Keep up with the great work. You guys are building a wonderful home. ❤
You two are such a great team, in every way. That's the biggest reason I look forward to starting my Sundays with your weekly posts (and my morning coffee, of course 🙂).
A heart-felt “Thank You” for bringing light to Newton Pet Beds! We ordered, quickly received, and immediately set up our senior dog Belle’s new bed-immediate acceptance! In fact, she’s remained snuggled in, actually snoring from her deep sleep! She’s previously tried & ignored so many other name-brand beds, but we’ve finally found a winner! -Thanks to you Vanwives, Bella, & Izzy! 🐾🐾 from The Shaner Family in Kentucky, USA!
Absolutely love your videos! Whimsical, productive, informative, puppy filled, ... just all- the-good! Really great job putting the videos together! I love seeing the end finished result (usually) in the same video. STRONG WORK! 😊
❤❤❤❤Really now you have created a little piece of heaven, you are an inspiration, thank you for sharing your little paradise and take care of yourselves❤❤❤❤
@@VanwivesI'm pretty sure you two are the view he is referring.to!❤❤❤ I have to say I definately agree with him!great job ladies!just be careful what kind of soap you use with the keys bc some can cause buildup in the jets and lead to all sorts of gook in your water lines and jets.run tub with vinegar water and baking soda every few months to clean out the jets.and make sure you get all of the water out of those jet lines before a freeze or your tub isn't gonna live very long out there .also keep the fiberglass out of the sun bc I rays will damage it and cause it to crack and fracture your tub.hope that helps! I love you jazz and Crystal
Well, another terrific project! You ladies just continue to prove that you can do whatever you put your minds to! Excellent! Might consider a grid of holes in the floorboards under the shower area to help with drainage, but otherwise perfect!
You two ladies never cease to amaze me with your ingenuity and hard work !! You are truly building a paradise on your beautiful property ! Can't wait to see what you two come with for your new property !! Stay safe and have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃🦃 !
So cool! I mean….. so hot!! It is getting cold up there. What happens when it gets snowed over and you want that nice hot steamy bath? It looks really good! And you got it put together in a short period of time. You have know-how now! So proud of you!! What’s next?
Week after week, you continue to amaze & inspire all of us! Thank you, Crystal & Jazmyn, for sharing your journey with us & all the ways you are creating an exceptional, living oasis! There truly is nothing the two of you cannot do! Enjoy🥰
You both are amazing! No job is too much for you.I love Sunday mornings for a new adventure, enjoy your shower and tub! Looking forward to seeing you next week 💛
First off, I'm so envious of your outside shower and tub. That is something I dream of having one day even though my wife thinks I'm crazy. On another note, I realize it's too late now, but if you are going to do more projects that run hot/cold water, I would suggest insulating all the lines, including underground. Even if you only use it when it's not super cold, you will lose a lot of heat on the run from the cabin.
Making the bubble-beards together was beyond cute! And I just love how much you still adore each other after all these years. Thankyou for letting us feel a part of your lives like you do. ❤
Wow! Looks fantastic ladies! May I make two suggestions? A rubber mat, like a bar mat, to stand on for the shower. Also, I would cover it. Use clear corrugated plastic. A friend of mine has a similar setup in their backyard (which is total woods). The leaves and branches became such a nuisance and made a huge mess. So they covered it with the clear corrugated plastic. What a difference!
I would also suggest tarping it in winter. Canadian winters are so brutal on materials. Those pretty jacuzzi taps will look terrible by spring if left to the elements.
Ooooo that is sooooo nice!!!!! A roof would be a great addition, to help keep the tree bits out, and then you can read/scroll in the tub in the rain/snow. ❤🐾
Just look at my girl's. It's strange to be so proud of you two considering I've never met you. But I am. I was straight up ugly crying at the end. The mother hen in me is thinking about no walls & insulation & how you will freeze getting in & out. Yes with 2 walls you are blocking wind. The snow was beautiful with the house behind the snow really show's up. You both amaze me! Sending you both love & lots of belly rubs for Bella & Izzy❤
So much going on in this video. Very entertaining and engaging. Amazing (Quick!) build. Great editing and music selection. So much fun mixed with hard work in iffy weather. You two are Unstoppable!
You two are so clever, nothing is impossible for the girls. Crystal and Jaz think of everything, I love how you tease each other. There is a song that describe you two “Simple The Best” Lots of love from Mike. ❤❤
Fun to watch and listen - love the banter. I see that many commenters recommend insulation around the tub. Given the fact that this is in the woods I think insulation will only benefit the mice and squirrels. Never use fiberglass batts if you do insulation, probably foil-faced isocyanate sheets would work. I do think it was a mistake to not run your PEX in conduit and place foam insulation above to help with heat loss, but more importantly protect the PEX from frost wedging a stone into the tubing. Cheers to you two for living a dream!
Love your videos! I don't know if you have these where you are, but since you both spend a lot of time outside, Chapstick medicated and Neosporin work great for the little cracks in the corners of your mouth. Those things hurt! Can't wait to see what's next!
My dogs have had the Newton crib mattress as their bed for years and over a year ago When Newton came out with the dog bed, I had to order that as well it’s awesome! EVERYTHING is washable. What a dream. Got it for temp regulation for my epileptic dog but continued for the washability and comfort
Watching you two is indeed an inspiration for women. We are often thought that certajn jobs can only be done by men but you show women like me that it can be done. Such an inspiration. 😊
I love all the projects. I bet your community loves loves loves u both. You keep them in business with all of the upgrades you are making to the properties. Can’t wait until Sundays to see what you both make. Thx for sharing all of your adventures with all of us.
Wow that new outdoor shower and jacuzzi tub are great and you two have gotten so good at building things that you make it look so easy, you're both talented women! So proud of and for you! Love from Texas! ❤❤❤❤
I love Sundays because I get to see you girls again and what you are up to. It’s like watching FRIENDS (I know that’s going back in time, LOL) but I still can’t wait for the next episode.
This is always the most feel good channel of my week. Y’all aren’t just impressive, inspiring, and fun… you’re also just obviously really good people. Thanks for bringing kindness into a world where sometimes it’s hard to see it.
You two are just so cute! My husband and I are in our 50's and you two are living our dream! I am in awe of what the two of you dream up and accomplish. Love watching you! ❤
First phase of this fun project is done. Envision a sunroof, some form of heat, some more plants, 1 or 2 windows, a door to keep out the undesirables. Want to enjoy seeing the moss, trees, sky. Keep out the wasps, flies and other bugs. Some abandoned bush cabin, eh.
You'll have to keep an eye out for mold build up in the jacuzzi pipes/jets. I was going to use a friend's water jet tub, filled it up, turned it on and suddenly the tub was full of chunks of black gunk.
When running the pex you should run inside 3” schedule 40 pvc .you can insulate the pex and if you need to run another line you can snake in PVC without digging it up
Great job ladies! You might want to add a bit better drainage under the shower area. And then a rubber shower mat over it to prevent splinters. There are lots of ways.
@@kimberlyavery2645The hot tub is for relaxing, not bathing. The shower next to it only has cold water, and is used for rinsing off after soaking. What they installed in this video is a bathtub with jacuzzi jets, and a shower with hot and cold water. Essentially a second bathroom minus a toilet for themselves, and for all the friends and family who visit them. They only have one tiny bathroom in the cabin with a very small shower. This will make things much more comfortable for everyone when they have guests. 🙂
You both are innovators educators and plain and simple kick-ass motivators keep up the great work that keeps our sunday minds full of ideas to freshen our lives...
You two can build anything now! I'm convinced! I have so much respect and appreciation for your dedication to learning new things every day and achieving such great goals in your life! Way to go! It's your attitude of gratitude for everything in your lives. Sending all of you much love. I learn through you, too.
The giterdone gals!! Wow, my dream tub! Might consider some spray insulation on the underside of the tub for heat retention come colder temps. Absolutely lovely!🌺
