Matt, I like the fact that you actually teach how to frame a home. Young men take note if you are looking to get into this field of work. Great video. 💪

Thought I’d share this, came across the channel back in 19’ while be a laborer under a GC. Covid hit and work slowed down so I went ahead and got my CDL. Still at it so on my down time I’m always learning from boss man Matt! 🔥🤘🏼 stay hydrated with the Cali heat! My semi AC is on blast while watching this 😂.

Really enjoy the videos Matt, I'm a framer in Canada, and I enjoy watching how other places are building. I just spent some time in Idaho and was able to take a look a building my inlaws are having built, it seems like their techniques are similar to yours. One thing I wonder is the reasons for the bottom window sill being double and having your trimmers (we call the cripples) land ontop of the sill and continuing under the sills. Here we need to have our trimmers run from underside of lintel to bottom plate. reason being is that if the sills shrunk it would cause a gap on your trimmer either causing your lintel to sag or not be fully bearing down to foundation.
