You can do a longer belt and put an adjustable idler pulley that will give you enough belt room. ?

perhaps...I thought about doing another "jack shaft" style set up but for now this will work out...I might just design and build another countershaft with a removable support! cheers

Thanks so much. I have had it in my shop for about 3 months now and it has worked out surprisingly well!

Considering the small space and the outside the box thinking, I’d say those minor issues are completely minor.

yeah, really my only option right now, so I'll put up with the minor inconveniences!

If you added a idler pulley between you could use a longer belt and take it off the idler when not in use. Just a thought Peace

Yes, essentially a counter shaft for the counter shaft! ha Thanks for the input! appreciate it!

I got such a great deal on this machine I could NOT pass it up. I'd been looking for years for one and finally found one at a price I was willing to pay...just right place, right time!

Marci, what if you cut a channel in the table? That would allow the chain to stay on

Thought about that, still playing around with a few ideas...might just make a new countershaft with a removable support...for now it works out and isn't to bad of a set up, but yeah would be nice to just be able to fold it up!

That was my thought as well. It requires strengthening the table but that wont be a problem for the lady

I am curious to see what this laghe is capable of. I only ever saw the larger models (not that I ever used one).
