Cool video. I used to build pole buildings for a living. There are a lot of work to go out pretty quick. I’m thinking about one day making a Vlog to put on my RU-vid channel. Thanks for sharing

Great and very informative video. One question. Is the rat guard and transition strip the same flashing?

It could be depending on your metal supplier. . Rat guard has a special profile that allows the metal siding to sit right on top of a shelf and closes off the corrugations so no critters can get in. Transition strip is a sort of "step" flashing. Here's a link to the steel supplier I use that shows the different types of trim they provide. So won't the rats just burrow under your 2x4 sitting on the ground?

Thanks for watching. Yeah in my situation they don’t offer protection from critters but they do provide a nice ledge the metal siding can sit on. Rat guard is actually the product name. On my shop they actually are rat guards as the building has a poured concrete floor.
