Thanks. Highly informative as are other videos in your channel. It's a relief to experience such clear communication, combining audio and visual so well. As a novice, I'll be coming back to your channel again and again.
This is an excellent, well thought out video. The instructions are perfectly understandable. Thank you for the professionalism in your video and your extensive knowledge in the preparation.
Will you please begin teaching people how to make videos? This one is so great: No background noise that some somehow call music; no long irrelevant intro; all explained in order, etc. Great, and Thanx.
Thank you for you candid description on how these are made -- As anything the knowledge, equipment, and experience make it seem simple; yet I would only trust a great professional company such as yours to get great, professional results,,! I have a remodel in my future to remove an abomination of a Big-Box credit card holder that thought they could "DIY" ( sometimes you SHOULD NOT "do it" even if that Big-Box says "we can help... ) The versatility of fabric over dimensional lumber has always intrigued me since being a boy-scout in a tent; seeing the US Pavilion in Spokane in 1974 { I was 10 } and Soldiering across this planet for decades... Can't wait to ripp out a horribly done roof addition and correct it with my Sunshade_ "Roofing" !!;
Superb & clear, to the point, without beating the bush. As an avid experimenter, I'd wish more followed your communication standard. Hopefully I'll find an equally clear video regarding the supports/poles. Keep it up!, and thank you.
thanks for sharing i own two restaurants and one bar. You can see how much money this saves me. 25 people who dislike this video must be either stupid or doesn't not like saving money. They definitely don't know what it takes to maintain a business. It's all about networking and sharing ideas. I really do appreciate this!
+Carolyn Meikle The sun shade sail from BIZARKDEAL is seriously the greatest thing to ever happen to my deck. It was super easy to install and looks amazing!
+Carolyn Meikle I hated going outside because my deck was just a blinding, blistering hell on earth, but now it's a pleasure to sit outside sipping drinks and enjoy the yard. Love this!!!
Great video. Can anyone tell me how to do flat felled seams on the sides of a tube tent? It seams that I need a double needle, off the arm machine, but I can only find a chain stitcher, as opposed to a lockstictcher, in that configuration.
I made a rectangular awing for someone with the help of this video but the water stays on the awning.Fabric used is Sunbrella. What could cause this? maybe attatchment points too close to eachother?
Sunbrella fabric is very water resistant and if the sail shade does not have a good slope then the fabric will collect water and then start to sag as the weight of the water becomes heavier. If possible you may want to provide pitch for your sail shade with a 1:4 slope or something close to that. For more details watch this video (starting at Sail Shade Notes): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NhnS_4DiZ80.html I hope this helps!
@@ProgressiveCharlie Can you send me a few photos of how the sail shade is set up and I will try to evaluate it for you. My email is ericg@sailrite.com
For an awning like this I would get a heavy duty straight stitch sewing machine. I believe that Sailrite sells the best portable walking foot sewing machine for this type of application. Purchase the Ultrafeed LS-1 sewing machine at sailrite.com it is part 102500.
@ 13:07 The Hem Looks Like Shit Because The Hem Wasn't Picked Down Taunt Properly Before Sewing. Sometimes On Deep Hollow Edges, Double Folding The Hem Causes That. Single Fold, Or Creased Tape On The Edges Is Usually Better.
Rude, but good point. I am buying bias tape from www.seattlefabrics.com to go with my sunbrella fabric, and I think using bias tape will look better (and be easier).
Do you guys build them for the public to buy? I know that's probably a dumb question lol but I'm looking for somewhere that builds custom ones. I have a 16x70 deck and want one in the area of 16x35-40.
Sailrite no problem at all!!! if I was confident enough in myself I would attempt to do it myself but something that has this significant amount of impact on the look of a home I will leave it to the pros lol
