In this video, we build stairs and a deck for an above ground pool. This was a great build and the first time constructing stringers, so it was certainly a learning experience!
Since installing these at the pool, the owners actually purchased a new ladder that attaches to the deck and goes into the pool. It fits absolutely perfectly and I highly suggest doing the same!

Would love something like this for our XL dog so he could go in our pool too, but he'd need some way to get back out too. Steps and platform are beautiful, maybe we could build them for the outside and rig up some way for the pup to get back out onto the platform from the water....

Awesome video, I am going to build a small pool deck. Yours looks very nice. Trying to use it as a guide. Are the legs and railings 2x6?

What is the height of the 2x4 at the beginning of your hand rail? Thanks for the video. I'm building the same deck for our pool but the rail will be on the opposite side.

I woulda set the bottom treads on a cement pad to raise it up so that top step landing is higher.

The platform was about 48” high.

Hi i had a question the top deck you put together in the beginning of video the 3 - 41" and 2 - 32" are those 2x6 or 2x4 its kind of hard to tell in video i was leaning more toward 2x6 but just can't tell for sure and I'm actually going to build one similar in a couple weeks so i was gathering material thanks man

How tall is your pool? My pool is 52 inches high. I have a set of 6 stair stringers but it is still short. Would a platform on top and one on bottom be enough to get them to the right height? Those are beautiful. I need them :)
