Excellent! My uncle built this project with us kids when it first came out... we still use the chair today! ...I think it sure is time to do this project again, now with my own kids :)

Could you please tell me why the Front Stretcher is 20" long and the back stretcher is 18.5" long? Shouldn't these two stretchers be the same length? Thanks for any responses.

Daniel Lajewski I watched the video again andfound my answer. Back stretcher to the frame and front stretcher to the legs. Video is great!!

I've thought of building one (or more) of these for a long time, but never seem to get around to it because I know from experience, if I sit in one, I'll never get up again. And not because of comfort. I'm 6'4" and about 3/4 of a century old. These are just too low to the ground and the angles are impossible for someone like me. I've never come up with a "fix" I believe has a serious chance of working. Any suggestions?
