I imagine that you have to eventually build some sort of tunnel under your house that opens up into a smallish cave room filled with these builds. They are way past tabletop games... You're building a whole other world!
@creativecuts7803
@creativecuts7803 Год назад
Haha indeed. No tunnels planned yet bit storage is definitely a consideration. Luckily I have a decent loft space in my house so I store projects there when not in use. I give them away as gifts and sell some too. This is very much a side hobby for me so I am not trying to make money out of it really. Just do it for the love of sharing my creative endeavours. I would still be painting and building without youtube so why not share. Maybe people can learn something from my many many mistakes haha. Thanks for watching

I love your free and easy way of creating things. I was in a 3D class and my instructor would tell us, “sometimes your project takes on a life of its own. It’s ok to just let it become whatever it wants.” You remind me of him. The title of your channel is brilliant in that regard. Wonderful work! So open-minded. I look forward to more. I may even start making g some things myself and showing them on my channel. You’ve inspired me. ❤️❤️❤️

Great stuff! I studied painting myself and whilst I became very proficient, where I found the most joy and interest was the unknown. The sense of discovery. I have since embraced this as an important factor in my work. It allows a freedom and lets me be less self critical. Thank you for watching

The thing I love about your pieces is that they are so natural and mellow looking. There's so much detail and they are amazing, but they honestly look like they belong in the natural world. Everything I do is very glittery and colorful and I like that too, but my pieces will never feel like they belong in the world like yours do. :D

Thank you for you wonderful words. That is the wonderful thing about creativity - there is no right or wrong. Whether it be something natural or bright and colourful - the main thing is to create. To add to the rainbow of the world. And if you can can share with others than all the better. 🌈🌝

Suggestion, placing your tiny bricks in a tin with some rocks and shaking it will give them rocky texture, also you can use a foil ball and push in the foam to give a rocky texture on things that art premade or to large for the tin

Hey dude, thanks for watching. In terms of materials - nature provides a lot of it, for foam etc i use a company called bluefoamuk. Actual modelling materials like foliage etc i get online from modelscenerysupplies or 4d modelworkshop or hobbies.co.uk. other things I get from Amazon or my local pound land. At first glance it is pretty expensive but because I often won't use a whole packet on one project I have slowly built up a good selection of materials. when I try use spray paint on xps foam it melts what did you do to stop this?
@creativecuts7803
@creativecuts7803 3 года назад
You need to create a barrier between the foam and the solvent from the spray paint. You can do this with a couple of good coats of pva or using a sealer like mod podge. I have found some brands contain more solvent than others so can still bite into the foam a little but much less than if untreated. Also keep a good distance and do two light coat rather than blasting loads of paint right next to the foam. Hope that helps a little. Give me a shout if you get stuck
